This made me laugh quite a bit, thanks, Cocopop! Your comments are always so kind and real.
Thanks so much for this reply. You’re exactly right. I did get some good quality time with my parents, whom I won’t see again until Thanksgiving.
Thanks for sharing that, it made me feel better :-)
The wealthy orthodox Jewish women I know all wear wigs to obey that rule while not having to actually look different from those around them. Was at a Jewish high school graduation ceremony and only one woman actually had her hair wrapped.
Such a weird and shitty day. I’m going to try to do this without all the details: I offered to do a friend a favor, but it was one of those favors that kept getting bigger. (If you do end up around This American Life’s page, there’s a much more recent episode called Tell Me I’m Fat, which excerpts the Dan Savage chapter…
The Cheat is not deaaaaaaaad! I'm so glad The Cheat is not dead.
Oh my gosh, I loved Shrill- it made me think about so much stuff but also made me laugh out loud. Then I went back and read Lindy’s piece on female purity. So good.
Oh my god, that is an unreadable collection of pasted tweets, gifs, and delusional self-righteousness.
My exact thought process.
Totally not the point, but those are only five sentences, right?
