I have used the unfollow option on Facebook more in this election than ever before. It’s great because the person doesn’t know you can’t see their posts, so you don’t offend your family/coworkers etc by unfriending.

Donald Trump calling John Lewis “all talk” should literally be the definition of irony. From now on, when you look irony up in the dictionary it should just say, “Remember that time Donald Trump called John Lewis ‘all talk?’ That.”

Toby Keith is a POS who enjoys such pleasantries as lynching, slanting his eyes when singing the word “yellow,” and a general all-around asshole. Remember when he slammed the Dixie Chicks when they had the guts to oppose the Iraq war? He’ll fit right in at the inauguration

In a way the apology is better and more humiliating to Trump than if she’d just said no in the first place.

Um, can we talk about how Trump got up this morning and decided to basically deny the 60's civil rights movement?

That Asshole: my inauguration is going to be the yugest, most glamorous star-studded amazing event ever. All the biggest names are calling me up, begging to perform for me and my supporters!

Inauguration day is my late father-in-law’s birthday. He would have been 72. So Mrs. Funk, her mother, and I will be doing what he would have wanted us to do: Getting shitfaced drunk, listening to Al Green, and not watching the inauguration.

I think Abby Hoffman once had a plan for everyone to ruin america by flushing their toilets at the moment Nixon took the oath. Currently sounds like a good idea.

The lack of big-name acts (with the exception of Toby Keith, fuck him) at this inauguration is a satisfying morsel I cling to as we head into the dystopian nightmarescape. I LOVE IT.

I can’t wait to not watch the inauguration. I won’t even have a tv on that day. I will be outside in Santa Barbara working. It’s the most excited I’ve been to ignore cable in a long time.

I’m not rationalizing. I’m thinking critically. And the response of Sen. Booker indicates that he did have a legitimate reason for voting against the bill. I don’t have to agree with him, and both of my Senators voted for it, but I’m not going to immediately assume that there is something nefarious going on until I

If all of these individuals, including Obama himself, are concerned about allowing unapproved/untested pharmaceuticals to flood our market, perhaps the issue is worth further examination.

I agree and I have been frustrated by a good deal of Jezebel’s politics reporting lately. They need someone with expertise in the federal government to do this sort of reporting or edit these sorts of reports.

The bill just opened the door for imports from Canada. It never did anything to address the major issues that cause US drugs to be more expensive, a convoluted and wholey unstreamlined system of approvals, a DEA who forces many drugs that are considered safe enough for over the counter sale in other countries to be

the economic health of a state takes precedence over a shitty thought out bill that Trump would veto the minute he got into office and whose vote for would only prove ammo to damage him and Menendez and open up a door for a Republican to take their seat.

My guess...you find convenient ways to dismiss most people who disagree with you all the time, rather than considering the somehow...maybe...in some dramatic miracles of miracles somebody else might have a point as smart of valid as yours.

Thank you for this. I agree completely that without context (what else was in the bill that may have been legitimately objectionable) this “story” is both meaningless and misleading, which is actually quite an impressive combination.

Because pharma!!! Wall Street!!! MONEY!! BERNIE WOULD HAVE WON!!!

Importing drugs from Canada is not the right way to solve a very complex problem. Canada negotiates with drug companies directly to regulate prices. If they can’t agree then Canada loses that drug. If we were importing from Canada we would essentially be paying Canada to be a regulatory middle man for an American

This type of reporting is just downright irresponsible.
