I was really upset during the campaign when Trump called for some people to take care of Hillary because she was “threatening to take all their guns”... not once did NPR clarify that Hillary never called for a weapons recall. They just continued to debate if it was or wasn’t a threat.

They always have that one Black friend but I’d bet if you were to go look for that Black friend and ask them if they were actually friends the Black friend would say “Hell no! He’s just some dude I say hello to to be polite. Can’t have a conversation with him though he’s racist as fuck.”

NPR has seriously disappointed me. They’ve got to stop with the false equivalencies and normalization of dangerous extremism and anti-scientific beliefs. They’re aiding and abetting a very dangerous cultural shift.

I stopped listening to NPR as well since the election. I can’t stand to hear him normalized. Good news! I discovered progressive radio stations, in my town no less, that are speaking the words of media revolution, January 20th strike-out, and positive things going on now and informing how we can unite and mobilize.

I feel like this might be similar to what abusive men do.....Meaning, they move the yardstick a bit farther than what they have said or done. Things like “I’m not a racist because I am not a KKK member.” Or “I am not a racist because I have never called any person the n-word to his/her face.” This same person is

I still listen to NPR, but I feel you. I find myself switching when they talk about trump. He said some some shit, tweeted some dumber shit, and is a piece of shit. He’s hiring peices of shit. Bleh. It’s all the same. So now I mainly listen to the fun shit, like wait wait don’t tell me.

I love this meme, however it shouldn’t be “white people” but instead “racist people”.

I feel the same, though the hubby is unconcerned that I’ve stopped all chat shows and news stuff and basically everything but Jezebel. It’s sad, because I miss Colbert and Seth Meyers’ takedowns of Herr CheetoFuhrer, but I just can’t laugh about this stuff right now.

I feel you. It’s like, we are paying for you to report on stuff, can you please stop normalizing this crypto-fascist kleptocrat? It’s giving me flashbacks to their reportage on the second Gulf War, the one we are still in.

Why wouldn’t he use this defense? It worked like a charm for Trump when the pussy grabbing tapes came out. “I’m not a misogynist abuser of women. This is just how I talk in private!” he said, and millions of Americans went along with it.

NPR deserves to be lit on fire along with every other media outlet that legitimized Trumps bullshit

I had a coworker explain to me that he couldn’t think Trump was a racist “just because of what he says. You don’t know that he’s going to DO anything racist, so you can’t know if he’s really racist.” “He got sued twice for housing discrimination.” “Yeah, but my parents rented a house to a black family, and they

I’m gonna sheepishly suggest you continue with On the Media, which is hanging in there. NPR in general though seems to be taking the ‘equal time’ thing to an extreme.

Yeah, I can’t listen to them anymore, either, and I listened to their politics podcast all election season. They keep referring to his behavior as “unconventional” and “unprecedented” instead of a completely fucked-up and I’ve lost my patience.

I wonder who he DOES consider racist if not himself? Like, does he think you aren’t a racist unless you are literally burning a cross on someone’s lawn?

You forget, only minorities can be racist, by calling them racist

Michelle Obama has been one of the classiest, the most educated (two ivy league degrees), perhaps the smartest, and yes one of the most beautiful first ladies we have ever had. We will be lucky to get another one like her. People who hate on her are ignorant racists. She is so many things that all of us strive to

She’s treated a lot like how Serena Williams is treated. Williams has been called a man by so many people and so has Michelle. I’m wondering if it is because both women are black, strong and athletic. That racist can’t stand their mix of strength and power so they deny their womanhood.

The constant flood of Michelle Obama comments over the last 8 years really do flummox me.

“I’m not a racist — those are only things I say from my true heart-of-hearts in private to my friends!”
