@pale_blue_eyes: I did it last night with no issues. Went from RC to Enterprise RTM with no issue. Even kept all my updated drivers which was surprising. Only thing I noticed is it reset IE so you had to go through the initial setup again. The only caution would be if you did something with a Ultimate unique

I think the best example of this for me was when I did traffic school on line. There is forced time you have to spend between chapters before you can move on so you hit the required time spent for the DMV. So every time I was finished and waiting for the next chapter I would get distracted with the web or tv or

@geiko: Try looking on [meetup.com] for a french meetup near you. if you live in a decent sized city there should be one.

I've always found meetup as a cool way to find fun local things as well. Just search for events going on in that area and you have nice selection of fun.

@jthatch: Is the iGoogle interface automatically secure if the setttings for gmail are setup that way. I tried looking this up and got conflicting answers.

I don't know how much I love the public exposure part. I can see how it can be a motivator but everytime I have seen this done it tends to have as much negative feedback as positive. This tends to discourage anyone who is trying to change. What helps me is keeping track somewhere I can see often like a whiteboard in

any idea of the readability vs e-ink? That's really the main reason its pushed right? I just don't see how anyone can do something different with software to improve eye strain that hasn't been tried yet. New hardware will be needed first.

I like the idea of this but it needs some polish. How many times have you made a list of files using the ctrl+click and then goof up and lose the list. god I hate that!

@Michael: Umm they are everywhere and just like anything popular there are good ones and bad ones.

Is there a backdoor app for buying weed and fireworks just like at real bodegas?

@relyk5: and make sure to place strategic ads for dating sites and anti-depressants.

@t0ph: Can't you just stop the notifications from going to your email through the facebook settings?

Great advice but always be careful. I always follow some advise I heard when going down this path.

@DevourerKwi: Hey I hear you since I'm in a similar situation but being in bad times tends to be the time you should try something new. Same reason most of the largest fortunes were made during the Depression. If you are one of the few that has the guts to try something new during that time and make it happen than

Do I really want to do that for, video, AUDIO, USB Keyboard and mouse, network, misc usb and the like. Thats a lot of plugs.

Most hard drive manufacturers offer their own tool sets for checking and fixing issues. If you are really scared about losing something then you may want to invest in spinrite or a similar recovery tool but most of the time just make sure you have good backups, run the manufacturers diag and see what it shows. Most

@hewhoroams: Yes that would be the issue. No maps equals no fun. Wish they would give you a way to download and cache a route at least.

@signups: hd is pretty much no go on apple tv. This has built in nvidia gpu that can be used to do the processing by linux XBMC #feature

@joe.glass: This setup will have the set top box hardware (GPU) doing the processing so it should stream cleaner and not chew up your main PC for streaming. You can go straight from a low power NAS to the settop so it's less power also. Try doing a 1080P mkv with multiple languages using tversity over wireless.
