Once it's working I'd love to see this. Busy shopping for a new job and I feel my resume is too detailed and messy. My transition from tech to business analyst could be highlighted better. Tempted to get a pro to write one up for me.

@wagnerrp: Great thanks for the clarification. It's so hard to keep up with XBMC sometimes. Certainly makes options easier. I'd love to use my core 2 duo and core 216 for a htpc after I upgrade.
does xbmc support video acceleration with ati cards? the I3 can probably handle it but why not have a card that you can offload the video acceleration for playback.
@James Molinaro: DLNA doesn't necessarily mean it will support multiple formats or high end video. Boxee and XBMC setups like this will play just about anything and at any resolution. Plus the UI and file management on most TVs and blue rays is just horrific.
@Pollynator: they have stated on the boards its stereo only for now so no DTS
@InNeedOfTea: ouch. stereo only. I could have put up with pretty much everything there but not that. I guess I'll stick with xbox and ps3 media server for now. At least I can get 5.1 with the special builds from it.
@tlogank: That plus tethered requirement means a no go for me. If I'm going to bother with XBMC I want smooth play for all my files.
@Commander Waffles: i didn't think that was dual band though. I need separate G & N
@Kakkoii: hunt all you want. we'll make more!
@MikeofLA: I am actually trying to figure out which has angrier protesters. fur or cloning. hmmm
As a side note most of the major brands have great warranties. I work for one with lifetime warranties and I will tell you that we send out thousands of free replacement parts daily and even full replacements for 10+ year old faucets. Call and ask. Most times it comes with great, easy to follow instructions. If…
@Tony Bullard: That was my problem with this survey. I thought it was about streaming you collection out to web client while your out of the house. Most of these solutions don't do that.
@wunch: It's a cool solution but I was hoping to see something that can be accessed from any web client not just a windows 7 share. Not all of us are lucky enough to have Win7 desktops and admin rights to install windows live id at work.
Am I missing something? Isn't this supposed to be about streaming from home out on to the net? Everyone is listing PS3 media server and Windows Media Player which just do local serving as far as know.
@geekymitch: What about the lack of a decent enterprise management solution. It's a huge pain to manage large amounts of IPhones compared to Blackberries. Remote wipes are a pain, can't force password locks, lack of encryption without 3rd party apps, etc. I'm all for alternatives but that is really what keeps…
@Ham_Sandwich: I would hope it would be. Without that it will die even in the enterprise. A tablet that you can deploy apps, access all you BES email and sites, use similar security function is what this needs to be. If I have to lug around both my blackberry and this thing then I'd just use a laptop.
@comodidit: I would hope that a company with valuable data would be using forced password locking, remote wipes and encryption. I'm excited to see how well this new device plays in a blackberry environment.
Helping the parents get a sweet new tv , surround sound, and harmony remote was the best and worst idea ever. The other fun factor of a newly received DirecTV DVR has added for fun new questions and scary recorded queue history.
@Grindhouse Murders: It depends on the software you are using. XBMC nightly builds for windows can use DXVA which can offload the video processing to the ION chip. Search the XBMC boards.
