FYI, working for an Indie company is by no means a guarantee of working fewer hours or otherwise getting paid better. enough companies out there will stress how they’re looking for passionate, hard-working developers, which will translate to them wanting you to put in 80 hour weeks.

Not all game companies are like that. Not all projects are like that. Nothing wrong at all with him going indie. But AAA is not all bad.
