Well, after decades of half-assing everything in San Diego, it’s good to see that the Spanos family, those titans of the sport, are turning the page and will go first class all the way in L.A.

I’m sure. It’s basically impossible to lose money on an NFL franchise due to the TV revenue share anyway. But I’ll take Spanos being less rich than he hoped as a victory. I have no connection to San Diego or the Chargers, but I hate the NFL stadium extortion game, and Spanos is among the worst.

I can think of no better time to introduce the new team then mid-afternoon on a Wednesday. THAT is when you’ll get optimal turnout.

I think if the Chargers draw less fans than the MLS team it shares a stadium with, we can call the move a failure. We can hope.
