Nice photos!!! Your dog looks like my dog.

Agreed. Gravel and dirt roads, even the majority of Fire Access roads, can be traversed in almost any regular car. Jack it up a few inches and add AWD and you’ve covered about 99% of whatever off-roading most people actually do.

I maintain that for 99.9% of “offroading” people do, they could use literally any vehicle. I couldn’t count the number of dirt/gravel roads I took a stock Mini Cooper down. Sure, an overlanding rig may be more comfortable, but I've done plenty of dirt driving at speed in econoboxes with zero issues.

I too own a TC, and also have this dream. Swapping the Fiesta ST transmission should be easy, since both models have used the same Ecoboost 1.6. But the real dream is the FoRS powertrain.

What about a Ford Flex Ecoboost AWD? It’s very breadvan and decently fast.

Step 1: Buy a used Transit Connect (either the wagon or cargo van)

I’ll grant you all of the above, with a giant caveat: Name calling the car is childish and unwarranted.

Hm. So you want Bad Ideas. Something that can replace a 4Runner. I admit, a Viper is a good idea. A sensible package of insane horsepower. Let’s... push the envelope a bit.

I will once again point out that a plug in hybrid gets 90% of driving accomplished on electric, while using 20% of the battery. Using current available tech it will go much farther environmentally than making 20 million electric only cars that have 400 miles of range. While, yes you are hailing around a motor and

Under $5K I’m about ready to say forget it, better luck next year. Should’ve started shopping sooner. But then I thought better about it:

Mazda Bongo!!! It’s 4WD and can be imported to the US and should come in around the $5k usd price range...maybe a little more but oh how cool!!

Ford sells over a million trucks per year. It is blatantly obvious that they’re building trucks people want to buy. What you want will never happen for the price you demand with today’s safety regulations. Ever.

Eight hours by Toyota. 14 hours by Land Rover.

PT Cruiser. It’s not the best car ever made, but I wouldn’t say it’s any worse than a lot of other domestic products of that era, but it’s something the internet has latched onto that it’s cool to hate on, like Nickleback.

No, it’s a big if. There are plenty of cheap tools that do a reasonable job for home mechanics and DIYers. Many tools will only ever be used a few times.

Buy cheap tools. If you break them, buy nicer tools.

How is a slideshow necessary for this?

I got to say, I’m not sure Porsche got their money’s worth out of this review.

Alright I’m done with this site. Good run.
