I would really like to see what lap times a car like the Ford GT would run without any BOP restrictions at all. How many of the 25 laps that they’re behind the prototypes now could they claw back?

I think it’s meant to encourage more companies to show up. Ford is running a super car designed with racing in mind. Chevrolet is running a much more mass market car. Endurance racing isn’t lucrative enough for GM to bring out a direct competitor to the GT just to race with them and so they would be likely to drop…
What will be interesting to see is if the GT cars can break the previous record too. Right now the leading Ford is at 764 laps, with 30 minutes left. It just did a 105 second lap. At that pace, it would end up with ~17 more laps and ~781 in total.
Silicon Valley bro-dozers incoming!
Irrelevant to the story (as it has nothing to do with age of consent as I note), but not to the comment I responded to which said things like this:
What the hell are you talking about? Age of consent laws do matter if we’re talking about sex. Show me one story where an 18 year old (black or otherwise) has gone to jail for having consensual sex with a 17 year old where the age of consent was 16.
I think the hosed out part is one of the big draws of pickups for work purposes. It’s nice if you can just never bring the dirty stuff into the cab at all and a pickup is great for that.
And the time penalty is now rescinded after Peugot’s data backed up Sainz’s account.
There aren’t a lot of safari work to be had these days. A lot of the types of “work” that someone would have used the vehicles you named for is now often done by a pickup.
24 points per 36 possessions?
Hey guys! Let’s get together and force Foxxwoof to get an electric car!
But why compare costs on a new $30,000 EV with a used $10,000 ICE? You can buy a relatively low mileage 2015 Nissan Leaf right now for just a bit over $10,000. That would seem to be the more relevant comparison.
I would LOVE a hotter version of the Transit Connect. I own one now and the driving dynamics are surprisingly good, though it’s low on power and the transmission makes some weird decisions, so a step up would be great.
Does the acoustic version have to be by the same artist? I love Nine Inch of Nail’s “Hurt”, but the acoustic version is even better.
I think that would be a great name for a car. Make it an off roader and tout its escape value.
“And in automotive news, Hyundai has announced a recall for its top of the line Leviticus after a widespread reports of the autonomous tech driving directly into rocks after its owners picked up a same sex date or shrimp”
The US should protest by not even showing up at the World Cup.
This is Jeter’s GM McHale moment.
Come on, Penn State, show some taste and rob a Sheetz.
