I desperately loved the idea of summer camp, but my family 1. wasn’t super rich (though church camp could have been an option) 2. didn’t think that it was necessary to send us to camp when we already lived in the middle of the woods.
I’ve “lost” way more money buying expensive things and barely using them than having cheaper things break on me and needing to replace them.
Even with my love of wagons and sleeper setups, I just have no desire to own this car. The terrible ad, bad photos and the admitted rust on the rear quarter panels suggest to me that it isn’t even as nice as it looks. And while I might pay 2500 for a sleeper LTD wagon in great shape, I wouldn’t really want a crappy…
Great post and a lovely looking bike.
I suspect that the ST drivetrain might be. I’ll be eager to see how the driveshaft/transfercase on the RS is set up, but I imagine that there would’d be room under the low cargo floor for it on the Transit Connect. Never know though. I love my Transit Connect. It drives really really well for what it is and I’ve built…
I like it too. If I were to have one, I might even trade the wing for an ST spoiler for more anonymous looks, but overall I like it.
The RS is AWD. That’s the big reason everyone got so excited about it.
Are we totally forgetting about the Playboy Bunny? Adornment of classy ladies (and gents) everywhere.
I have a Ford and I wish my car had this. I spend lots of time outdoors falling down and am always secretly terrified that I’m going to come back and be locked out. I’d do option 1 all the time.
Oh, and my advice:
I did my XS650’s carbs a few weeks ago. Pulled them out, took them apart (well 1), cleaned everything, put them back in, and the bike fired right up. It was a miracle and my chest hair instantly grew 2 inches and got curlier.
If only Tesla’s production time frame accelerated as well.
What reliability issues have you heard about with the new Connects? I couldn’t find too much on the new model.
I just bought a Connect (after putting a deposit down on a Mazda5 then reading some poor crash test results), so I’m definitely with you and in the target market for this Toyota was if it was in the US. If they did bring this over, I’d seriously consider the hybrid version when my second car (a Honda Fit) needs…
I voted “...but they’d detract” after carefully evaluating whether I’d do it with minions in the room. And only then realized I probably wouldn’t have sex with Miguel because I’m a straight man. Man these complicated hypotheticals are tricky.
“It’s my party, I can die if I want to...”
I ride a 1979 Yamaha XS650. It’s easy to ride. Parts are cheaply acquireable and it’s simple enough that even a mechanical idiot like me can usually keep it running.
I believe that he means that he will give the dealer where he test drove a $100 mental credit on the price. So if the test drive dealership will come within $100 of the best price that he’s being offered for the same vehicle, he’ll buy from them.
Young van fans. People who want to use them to haul outdoor gear rather than kids. It would seem pretty easy to offer option packages for this, but few manufacturers do and instead push people toward SUVs that have several drawbacks (though several advantages too).
