Philips came up recently with LED replacements for all types of light bulbs, they are designed as an OEM replacement, maintaining same brightness and they claim a 12-yr warranty. You still need resistors (or whatever method works) for blinkers, but i can say they work great. replaced every single bulb on my silverado.…

The article is referring to the issues that plague dual-clutch trannies from certain brands (it specifically mentions the Ford Fiesta/Focus, which are known to have problems that dealers can’t seem to solve), it’s irrelevant if you test drive a car or not. You won’t realize about this issues on a test-drive.
