That’s been what Mystery Inc has done in every major iteration for half a century now.

I’d like to respond to the idea that your NPC doesn’t get agency in the ending. While the person holding the controller does not; your CHARACTER does. This is a massive difference that is crucial to the message of the game.

My wife and I have each put at least 125 hours into the game, and this is the very first time I’ve heard anyone want or even suspect he would “break free”.

I’ll say this: Hell yes.

You know what? The people that dunked on me for writing a lot bummed me out, but this? This took effort in order to actually make it a joke. And I DID laugh. So thank you. Quite well done! :D Thank you for sharing!

Hey, Kotaku. I’ve been in the video game industry for 12 years and have been following your blog as my favorite video game news source since, I believe, before that. I love what you do and think your voice is very important. You advocate for progressive ideals, call out things that others won’t, and generally say what

So, there’s this scene in The Two Towers where the orcs begin murdering each other over whether to eat the Hobbits alive or bring them to Saruman, who will torture them to death.

Trying real hard not to let loose some anger and/or take it real personal that the video game-film genre has a huge chance at gaining legitimacy through Cate Blanchett’s casting... and Kotaku’s only take is to have one of its reviewers remind us that he doesn’t like Borderlands.

The really weird thing about cheating in online games is that there’s a surprising amount of players that literally don’t know it’s wrong or against the rules. I’ve been working in customer-facing positions in the video game industry for 11 years and the number of people who have emailed our official channels and

Pitches sent. Thanks for this!

This comment aged poorly.

What a fucking pathetic and transparently untrue excuse. He’ll get his day in court. And his decade in prison.

I got so emotional over that mission.

Local person gets an entire sentence into an article before being outraged and more informed than writer of article.

Been in the industry 11 years.

Proud and impressed by the bravery of these employees. They have this industry veteran’s support. Rock on and walk on, you awesome trailblazers. May you be successful and may other companies learn from your example.

I worked for a video game company that tried to make a game that was inspired by Breaking Bad. Due to the limitations on drug references, they intended to try and make the entire game without any explicit references to drugs.

This was the right call and she seems to be taking it gracefully. I hope everyone is better for this after her timeout is complete.
