GPA wasn't the only consideration for valedictorian at my school.

My school wasnt so dumbed down that they inflated grades to the point where a 4.2 was possible. If you got 100% in a class (which even the Harvard-bound kids never did) you could only get a 4.0.

Wrong. It's been studied and in every metric, tip-reliant servers provide better service than those without the incentive.
