This is going to drag on for years and people need to come to terms with that. It’s also going to be a real circus when these folks go on trial.
Part of what’s bothering me is that people like to talk about Tish James like she’s a superhero, so why not trust her to do the job? All these demands for Cuomo to step down makes it look like they don’t think she can handle things.
It’s kind of funny to come to The Root and see people deciding that white women are honest actors who should be believed without question.
Oh yes. Philando’s killer should be at the top of the list.
This is why I don’t demand apologies from white people saying racist shit.
Same. My mattress has a permanent dent in it. It’s on my list of things I want to burn.
Just once I want to see one of these asshole cops get what they deserve. For me the real challenge is if you could only take out one, which one would it be? I’m torn between Timothy Loehmann (Tamir Rice’s killer) and Daniel Pantaleo (Eric Garner’s killer).
That is literally the only thing people can cite when they say John “Not a Moderate” Kasich “wasn’t so bad.”
Chile...my couch is disintegrating beneath me. It’s to the point where the stuffing is coming out of it. It doesn’t help that I’ve gained weight during covid so now the springs are being forced to support a fatter ass than they ever have before. I’d love to burn it.
This asshole’s seat should be our first target for 2022. I don’t know who his opponent will be. That is a decision I will leave to people on the ground but turning this seat blue should be a priority.
I have all kinds of issues with Kasich but I give him credit for Medicare expansion. He’s a religious zealot but at least his version of God remembers to try and heal the sick.
Thank you for saying that.
Question: when did The Root start trusting white women?
I’ve seen this show before except it was a version in my own state. When John Kasich got elected Governor of Ohio, one of the first things he did was reject funding to repair and expand rail service and he did it only because it came from Barack Obama.
He still has not resigned, yet.
I’m an introvert by nature so when lockdown started I joked that this was the Olympics I’ve been training for my whole life. But now I don’t even want to think about the fact that its been a year because I just think about so many losses. I’ve lost cousins to COVID.my aunt died and my mom couldn’t attend the funeral.…
Yep. It’s the difference between talking and actually caring about policy. The first question to ask about any suggested policy is, “And then what?”
Any attempt to deal with student debt should go through Congress and deal with far more that just paying off debt. There needs to be discussion around the insane interest some of the private loans charge, there should be ways for people to be able to eliminate a portion of debt with public service, more regulation of…
That was the point. They asked Republicans only what issues mattered to them and Democrats only what issues mattered to them.
