I always roll my eyes at actors overselling earthquakes in movies. Based on the video above, lunging around and swaying a bunch is actually a pretty accurate depiction.

Hold on now. My recollection of Hee Haw is incredible fuzzy since it was on in the background when I was playing with Hot Wheels but I always thought of it as pretty tongue and cheek. Yeah, it looks like one of their bylaws is that no two members can wear the same type of hat.  

This is a beautiful example of exactly how joyful it can be to get enjoyment from someone’s reaction to a false statement.  

I lived in Sweden 20 years ago and I still have dreams I’m back there. I’d be down for France too, or the Netherlands, or Italy or ....Everyplace has it’s faults but at least you’d be living with adults instead of spoiled, gullible babies.

I lived in Sweden for awhile. I’d SWIM there if they’d give me citizenship.  Part of my disappointment in the U.S. is the concrete evidence that a society can be structured much better.

Oh, I really like that angle.  He’s literally playing 4-D chess.  Taking an advantage in one game and using that to leverage a draw which will net him an even greater advantage in the next set of games.

I understand and agree that not all art needs to have a point. Some stories, movies, or paintings are obviously intended to be consumed solely as entertainment.

I’ve liked a lot of their movies but I recently heard them interviewed. They were so incredibly and disappointingly shallow. The interviewer kept trying to draw them in and explore any depth or meanings in their movies and they always basically said, “Nope no agenda or moral there, we just thought it would be a cool sc…

“Hey, I don’t pay you guys to just stand around and flirt! No seriously, I make $3.5 million a year but you aren’t paid at all.”

The best and most concise answer.

That slow motion footage of his face shifting from receiver to defender is amazing. In real time it almost looks accidental.

Yeah, this is a weak attempt at outrage. She gave a meaningless non-answer to a journalist she didn’t give a damn about.

I guess we could check in with almost any other country in the world.  They seem to have figured out how to provide healthcare to their citizens.  Many also provide heavily subsidized higher education.  

If necessary you could also resort to what I tell my young kids. Fair doesn’t mean equal.
