I’ve been investing through Ariel but there’s a bunch of others. Ariel seems to have a good balance of corporations. No tobacco, weapons or oil, plus maybe some other hard no’s. It get’s to be a slippery slope though. Google has done some shady things but are they evil? Electric cars seem good, but what about lithium…
I understand and agree that not all art needs to have a point. Some stories, movies, or paintings are obviously intended to be consumed solely as entertainment.
I’ve liked a lot of their movies but I recently heard them interviewed. They were so incredibly and disappointingly shallow. The interviewer kept trying to draw them in and explore any depth or meanings in their movies and they always basically said, “Nope no agenda or moral there, we just thought it would be a cool sc…
“Hey, I don’t pay you guys to just stand around and flirt! No seriously, I make $3.5 million a year but you aren’t paid at all.”
Don’t buy a Lenovo Yoga. I deeply regret it. The fingerprint sensor is awful and in my model they have (I discovered) a known manufacturing flaw causing their screens to fail. Google either and you can learn of my fellow owners misery.

That slow motion footage of his face shifting from receiver to defender is amazing. In real time it almost looks accidental.

Talking about any phone’s notch is the laziest take possible. It’s like a fart joke in the seventh grade boys locker room.
Yeah, this is a weak attempt at outrage. She gave a meaningless non-answer to a journalist she didn’t give a damn about.
I guess we could check in with almost any other country in the world. They seem to have figured out how to provide healthcare to their citizens. Many also provide heavily subsidized higher education.
If necessary you could also resort to what I tell my young kids. Fair doesn’t mean equal.
By Gee i think you’ve got it!
I assume the fireworks would be to get the drivers attention. BUT.....it would be really awesome if they did setup fireworks to trigger every time someone hit the bridge. Kind of like a homer during the playoffs or something. A couple of big sparkly fountains on each side, lots of rockets and concussions.
I’m surprised by this. I fully expected the Senate’s first order of business would be to vote to repeal ACA since they could do it safely knowing the House wouldn’t agree. Now that the adults are back in town the Republicans can stomp around and huff and puff about all kinds of meaningless votes that they take in…
So does this mean I can’t yell, “Hey beautiful, get in here!” when I want my coworker to come over to my desk?
Sanctions are almost guaranteed to be self defeating. If we want a country to move towards a more progressive society it’s far more effective to allow it’s citizens to enjoy the benefits of our way of life and begin demanding more. Airlifting supplies into Berlin or shipping Levi’s to the Soviet Union are good…
I agree, but there’s also a pretty good chance you pay for a carry-on and then find all the bins full anyway. I don’t know why airlines work so hard to make me hate them.
Maybe Polestar is simultaneously shooting an OK GO video as a side gig.
