"More seriously though, the new rule hopes that..." seriously? rules don't have hopes. does giz have a proofreader??

@Misterine: tech called vnc. there are several different implementations, like RealVNC ([www.realvnc.com] and UltraVNC. not sure which he was using.

@complextinction: Are you joking? You think it's more plausible that man had pet dinosaurs than that everything archaeologists, geologists, paleontologists and biologists have been studying for decades is correct?? It has nothing to do with how violent dinosaurs are. We know that dinosaurs were killed off around 65

@krasny: Sorry, but is this a joke? This is some of the silliest nonsense I've ever seen. Some of it is just ridiculous (trying to throw out some preposterous explanations for how Noah lived 900 years) and "moving the goalposts" in regards to the Ark.

@krasny: I wouldn't consider a scientist who didn't "believe in" gravity credible.

@Andy Mesa: Right. And do they have any decent movies? While they may be comparable on TV content, Netflix completely blows Hulu out of the water on movies.

@MrGone1980: that one took me forever, too

@Ronaldo: Why shouldn't individuals and corporations share the responsibility? While consumers can and should vote with their dollars, it is unreasonable to expect every consumer to personally research the production of every product they buy. It's also unreasonable to allow some irresponsible corporations and

@anderlan: Why is it any more realistic to expect voters to act rationally than it is to expect consumers to act rationally? Especially when they are in fact the same people? When it comes down to crunch time, voters, like consumers, will vote for the immediate benefit rather than the rational long-term choice. And

@SGTalon: So you don't think that politician's stances on issues like net neutrality and NASA falls under "tech news"? If the piece was biased then that would be one thing, but all the author did was mention a few issues, a few candidates and some choice quotes.

@toxic: wow, someone defending homeopathy and acupuncture calling someone else ignorant? that's kind of mind-boggling. i think you need to do some more research. whatever "book" you asked @Joergen Geerds to read should definitely not be the ones you've been reading.

@ilovemydogdub: ok, cool. never read either, but i've seen brian greene's nova episode, pretty interesting stuff.

@Jeramy Bailey: I was thinking the same. Are these digital cameras? Then would the sensor need to be twice as big as well?

@ilovemydogdub: I never saw the movie but when it came out I remember hearing pretty much what @Joergen Geerds is saying. Check out the wikipedia entry:

@berribrand: Actually, that's what I hate about this idea. No one will ever compost these bags. It's completely pointless to make compostable materials if people are going to toss them in the garbage rather than composting them. The environment would be better served if chip-makers made appropriately-sized bags

wow, i always wondered if i'd ever find something that's a bigger waste of time than reading ayn rand. now i've found it.

@Gary_7vn: I agree. Of course, this thing sounded like it wasn't in very good shape. I really hate the d-bags that go out and buy a brand new iPhone or something and smash (or blend) it. People with too much disposable income. Really does make us look bad.

@ugotworms: i don't know what i thought about that movie either, but for those interested, the commentary track by Brian Cox (the physicist, not the actor) is thoroughly entertaining and educational.
