Yeah I'm on meetup. I'm not overly thrilled with the selection of groups in my area, but I'm trying a couple. Mostly the ones with booze so I can actually be sociable.

I know, it sounds terrible to even voice it. And they're not really jerks so much as they're just annoyingly persistent and sometimes pretend the one English word they never learned is "no". I play poker online and get a lot there.

I was in Southern California. :( Well, Ventura. I don't think that's quite central coast.

Don't you know, the internet definition of "whore" is "woman who is having sex with NOT YOU".

I had a Yahoo personals ad about 15(!) years ago. 99% of my messages were "ur hot" or from married men looking for hookups even though my profile specifically said "no married guys".

I seriously thought it was just me that was weirdly attractive to Indian guys. I get them all the time in online games. And they are reeeeaallly persistent.

I'm playing a word game on my phone and I have had two dudes using dick pics on there. It's not even a popular game.

Someone suggested I try OKC for finding friends in the area when I moved. That was a mistake.

Can this be a requirement for using a dating site? Like how everyone should work retail once to become a better customer?

Oooh yes I like this one better. Not a fan of the weird shiny material.

I don't like either of them but I can't be mad that the twerp got punched.

It wasn't super obvious that she was sneaking into his room to me at first, but then I thought "well who else's room would she sneak into? Like I said, she preys on his insecurities.

I don't think it's that so much as the weird way she plays on Tom's guilt and feelings of inadequacy. She basically challenged him to prove he wasn't a "snob" by dating her, and he's uncomfortable enough with himself that he fell for it.

Not quite on topic, but can I just say I'm REALLY sick of hearing "well he's not what we want for Edith." Come on, they don't think Edith is ever going to get married and they almost never listen to her anyway. They're never going give you the approval you want Edith, just TAKE it!

My father passed away in June. For some reason, his wife never submitted an obituary. There's no death notice I can find. So FB won't memorialize his profile.

Yeah that's what bothered me about it. It's just so weirdly unlikely for a few reasons. He's visiting someone else's house, he goes for the married lady that's obviously soppy about her husband (he'd probably get away with arguing it was consensual with almost any other maid, as shitty as that is), he does it during

Mary and Matthew were cousins. Not close cousins, like 3rd or 4th. But really, aren't most aristocracies all related to each other somehow?

Hah I like Gregson. Not that I think becoming a German in 1922 is going to work out well for them.

Yes, I think the PBS Masterpiece logo, the posh accents, and the fancy period costumes trick people into thinking it's more highbrow than it is. That's what my spouse thought.
