I was in Chicago one January when the wind chill was approaching 40 below. I missed the Northridge quake because I was there.

I'm kinda with you on this. I think it's fine for a teenager to sample; takes some of the mystique and allure out of alcohol. A sip or two, or a small glass of wine with dinner, with parental supervision.

The cutest dresses at Target are invariably the maternity ones. I don't know how they manage it but every damn time I find something I like it's maternity.

It is also really difficult to pee in a jumpsuit short of stripping, so I'm not seeing this as an improvement, really.

Actually my theory is that Isis isn't the same dog the whole time. There's one time in the first episode where Lord Grantham calls the dog "boy". I think they get a new dog in there somewhere that just looks the same.

I think the problem with Edith is she wants approval too much to just say "screw it" and do her own thing like Mary. Mary's comfortable being Mary. Edith hasn't figured out how to be Edith. I'm frustrated watching her, but I'm frustrated FOR her.

My friend wants to know how the heck Isis is still alive since it's been something like 12 years since Season One.

Yeah that's what I was going to say. That's the whole point of the unbreakable entailment, and why the Duke of Crowborough pretends to like Mary until he hears she's not inheriting.

I don't recall this kind of outcry when Halle Berry was cast as Storm.

It's actually worse, at least in the US, if you're a guy. The system is built with the implication that women will be doing the changing. So as much of a hassle as it is to change your name on everything once you're married, if you're female the process is expedited.

I love her so much. She's my dream Storm in X-Men.

When I lived in an apartment complex, UPS' delivery method of choice was simply to stick a "tried to deliver, no one was home" message on our door. When we called them on that, because someone WAS home literally all day, they said something like it was too difficult to find the right apartment for the packages. But

I don't really have strong feelings about the Doctor's gender either way. I probably prefer him male because I grew up with Tom Baker who shares a strong resemblance to my own father.

Six months?

Yes, but only because I was the officiant and didn't want to clash with the couple. They were red, lime green, and purple, which sounds terrifying to me but the bride is an artist so she made it work. I do not have an artist's eye for color so I went with black.

I asked mine what details were important to him. There were very few; he didn't care what colors I picked and couldn't care less what the invitations looked like. He wanted input on the venue, the photography, the booze, and his tux. Neither of us cared about personalized reception napkins or cake toppers.

Having snagged the side of my breast with a bowstring once during archery, I think cutting it off entirely would hurt less.

I did, but that's basically because I can't stand the guy. I don't really care who plays Batman.

You forgot Jesus Christ Superstar!

I covet every single one of her hats. Especially that Canada Day one with the maple leaf.
