I don’t, in any way, condone this type of response, but I honestly can see where the rage comes from. It definitely doesn’t help, and it’s going to make everything worse, but after this week I am unsurprised that angry people are resorting to extreme violence.

I’ve sobbed my way through it many a time, but while it’s super sad, it’s not actually a slow, dragging song. I really appreciated that the show was able to handle that kind of emotional turning point without something over dramatic.

And it’s super interesting to see all the historical references! I had no idea how much of the stuff was literally ripped right out of historical letters and documents. Pretty fascinating!
