I only care about the obviously most important category: Outstanding Main Title Design, and somehow Game of Thrones won that too!

For all of the valid criticism of GoT Season 8, there is no faulting the casting, costumes, sound mixing, or visual effects. I’m not sure this is definitely a reflection of how they will do next week, though I still expect some of the performances to pick up awards. 

I don’t think Game of Thrones stands to win that many Emmys next week. This season’s production was fantastic, but the writing sure wasn’t and that’s bound to hold the acting nominations back as well. They might get a directing Emmy though.
