You seem very mad but it’s unclear who you are mad at or why.

No.
In St. Louis: yes. It’s better than when I lived there in 2002 when every kid was wearing a band aid on his face.
...remembered as the decade of snark, a period where being smart and funny also meant being witheringly condescending towards everyone and everything that wasn’t in on the joke.
Well, at least he didn’t say anything about political correctness or cancel culture.
Look guys, I’m not gonna defend Norm on this one, but just... just come right out and actually criticise him, okay? Just say that he said some dumb shit if that’s what you want to say. You really don’t have to smother everything in layers of knowing snark and eye-rolling irony to the point where it’s incomprehensible.
Wasn’t the whole point of her initial tweet that she hadn’t done her homework when it was happening, but now she has and hoo boy now she knows Bush was a giant fuckstick. I don’t see what’s wrong with that.
There’s a lot of people older than her who live in America and were more directly impacted by the Bush years who STILL think he was a Good Man, Just Trying His Best For The Country. At least she eventually did the work, and I have no idea what shitting on her today is supposed to accomplish.
I’m about your age and we learned about Reagan in my history classes but we didn’t learn about Margaret Thatcher. My first cultural awareness of a UK prime minister was probably Tony Blair, and that was because of media coverage of Love Actually.
You’re reeeeeeeaaaalllly struggling to come up with a reason to be annoyed by this. Hang in there. I think a few more comments and you’ll have ironed out what that reason is.
She’s not from the United States.
Maybe other people’s experience was different, but my high school wasn’t teaching hardly anything about what was going on at the moment.
I’m closer to her age (31), and even in AP US History, we barely made it to Nixon. Current events really weren’t discussed much. Most of my contemporary knowledge about Bush was because I was involved in my school’s debate club and Young Dems chapter.
Given how many grown adults in the US were completely obtuse to Bush then and remain so now, I’m inclined to give the famous actress from a different country a break.
She...isn’t really an influencer. She has done actual work raising money and pushing for progressive causes, particularly around body positivity and negative stigma.
So now we’re shitting on people for reaching the right conclusion but not being super aware of world events in their 20's. Just wanna be clear on this. That’s our new bar. You suck if you didn’t know about stuff in your 20's that you should have.
This is the kind of performative bullshit I hate about Twitter and the pack of holier than thou assholes whose every waking minute devoted to this silly outrage
Shes not an influencer, she's very ANTI influencer and talks about how dangerous they are .
Heidecker’s overarching ambitions don’t include actually being funny.
look, the dog is cute, the cast (as currently slated) is real good and netflix has shown they will throw money at projects and make them look and act great.
but if you don’t have the theme music, get the hell out
