I think the M4 could torch the base Carrera if it had not got so fat. It has so much more power.

My car is a 997.2 C2 6MT. I love it. The GTS would be so sick.

It's crazy how quickly the 993 has been appreciating recently. I swear we could find decent manual C2 cars for $40K 18-24 months ago. But yeah now you just can't anything decent south of $50K. To get a more affordable one you have to get a cab, Tiptronic, or both (eww).

Yeah the fold down seats help a lot.

That's not quite fair to the BMW. Yes you wouldn't want to take a road trip with 4 adults in the M4. But at least 4 adults can go to dinner in the M4.

That is not true that the Carrera S doesn't perform much better than the base. You were correct a few generations ago. But with every new generation and every mid cycle update within a generation the difference between the Carrera and Carrera S has grown.
