I know this isn’t reality, but a tip should be like a bonus for exceptional service. It’s bizarre that restaurants are allowed to pay servers less than minimum wage.

Tipping is an antiquated custom that needs to be allowed to die. It should not be a customer’s responsibility to ensure that restaurant workers are being paid fairly.

I mean the literal definition of fast casual where I walk to a counter, place an order, pickup my order at the same counter, find my own table, and throw away my own trash. I’m doing all the work that would typically illicit a tip therefore I don’t leave a tip.
