BRZ comes with hell of good tires, great stability control and very light weight. I was surprised how well it did in snow on stock tires. 

I never though people who drive RWD cars with A/S tires are suicidal. When it snows and they get stuck I think they are idiots, assholes, ignorant of others... but never suicidal :) But if they don’t get stuck and proceed confidently, I though they are good drivers who plan their routs and timing according to gear…

If you hate driving, you will not want to compensate... why would you make yourself miserable? If you like driving, you like driving in snow and thus want winter tires. If you hate driving, you would not want the better experience, but people who hate driving are rarely good at it.

If you mean Michellins on 86, they are fantastic. Also they are all season tires. Drove it in snow multiple times uphill and no issues.

Yep, that! Also, I have AWD and winter tires, the looks on truck driver faces when I plow though the snow with my front lip are worth every penny :)

Because snow tires feel much better in the snow, more driving confidence. You can drive on all seasons in the snow, but driving with Winter tires is another experience completely. But so you can drive an old soft corolla, or you can get a fun car.

Anyone who claims summer tires are for auto sports only is someone not willing to buy summer tires and needs a justification why not... and pushes that justification on everyone else.
