I enjoyed my test drive.

That’s what I’m saying, the Porsche in the video you linked there sounds exactly like the Boxster Spyder and GT4 prototypes that were seen running around the ring, and has the same unique exhaust setup (which clearly is not on the 718 T) with the same rear diffuser. It’s a GT4 Touring.

This is pretty interesting to me because I felt like the base Cayman had more than enough power to be fun. And it’s the cheapest Porsche that can get those delicious bucket seats.

The new exhaust there sounds the same as the GT4 prototype that was seen running around, and it sounds identical to that car too.

The infotainment system delete is not available in the US market.

If the base Macan is only 250bhp (which honestly, is plenty for the Macan, it really scoots), then it’s more incentive to spend extra to get the S.

The $50k Porsche gets a 250hp engine. The $60k Porsche gets 350hp.

Yep, it’s the Porsche hot hatch and it’s friggin fantastic to drive.

I should be excited, but the interior of these is a real letdown.  Just not up to par with anything in that price range.

I don’t care if they aren’t competitors...both have been mentioned in this article and in the comments because the person in the article (did you read the article?) is looking for something very practical and also fun to drive, and I am giving my opinions and experience on both.

Apples and oranges? Not at all.

Back in 1976, Porsche debuted its new prototype race car, the 936. Weight was 1,543 pounds. The engine made 520 horsepower. Twin turbos, no roof. A sketchy car by specs alone.”

“That’s because Porsche also widened the front track and lengthened the wheelbase”

I like just about everything about it except that weird third brake light.

Gotta disagree. It doesn’t sound awful. I’m not saying it sounds great...god knows it can’t match my 997's howl. But I didn’t hate it either.

Drove a 718 GTS a few months ago.  Loved the engine.

I had a Golf R.  I disagree.  It’s roomy inside, but not THAT roomy.

Ah, another 911 hater, complaining about the same old tropes.

My brother had a Legacy Outback. Dull and boring is the only way to describe driving it. He eventually sold it and got a GTI, and loves driving it so much more.

I have extensive personal experience in this sort of hobby. The GTI/Golf R is is only big enough if they are gonna throw a box or basket on the roof.
