I think a bigger problem is that you kinda get the worst of everything geographically.  Hot, humid summers but no beaches.  Cold, wet winters but no mountains.  It’s just kinda flat and boring and oh there’s a bonus: tornadoes!

I say start with Arena because it’s free and has decent tutorials.  Then I would move to limited to get a better feel for IRL play.  Specifically sealed, as those events tend to be more casual and you can focus just on deckbuilding and evaluating power levels, whereas drafting requires it’s own skillset.
