Or...proof in a container with measurements on it?  Every restaurant ever just proofs dough in cambros, and they aren’t that expensive if you go to a restaurant supply store.

Just toss it off a bridge or something. You could make another one in less time than it takes to make a good bottle of whiskey, so best to just cut your losses.
