Marvel must be pretty good to the actors, even apart from pay. Chris Evans talked about not wanting to act anymore like a year or two ago, and yet recently he basically said he’ll play Cap as long as they want him to.
I understand your dislike of the movie, but Iron Man 3 is a much stronger film than Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, and and Thor 2.
I love when people blame script problems Ina franchise movie like this on the director. You may not have liked the story choices, but Black’s direction was fantastic.
“I hated IM3, and it seems like the people who liked the Star Wars Prequels are the ones who liked it.”
Yeah. It’s a bummer, too. There was a lot of potential with the premise of the movie (even with incorporating MoS stuff) and some things that were, at its core, good ideas that were executed horribly.
It definitely needed it. I just really hated the timing. And didn’t she say something like, “Who are you”, “a friend of your son”, “i could tell by the cape”? It’s weird for Martha to be so cool and calm after your first time almost being murdered while tied up by a psychopath.
To be fair, in my opinion, the final showdown was one of the worst action scenes in the film. Still a terrible movie, but most of the action is pretty good up until that last scene.
If the scenes they cut out help explain the plot and characters better, it just makes the inclusion of Doomsday that much dumber.
I didn’t like that quip. It did make me chuckle a tiny bit, but it makes no real sense. Batman was just trying to murder Superman and Superman really hates Batman, but Superman never talked to his Mom about it? She’s never even heard of him, it seems, since she asks him who he is. Secondly, just because they have…
The whole “pro-marvel, anti-DC” thing is barely even a thing, and it’s only a few people. Most people, like myself, just want a good super hero movie. Batman v Superman didn’t deliver, on a whole lot of fronts, and none of the criticisms of BvS are that it’s not Marvel; the criticisms are that it lacks what makes…
While I think they could have replaced the role with a non-white actor while still staying away from the stereotype, why doesn’t this article actually address the very real problem that some of these characters are major stereotypes? Both The Ancient One and The Mandarin would be insanely difficult to adapt faithfully…
Smash Up and King of Tokyo has taken a lot of our time lately.

Snyder’s superman is like making a book about Jesus where he speaks like Donald Trump, promotes atheism, and encourages violence. Even if he ends up a great character, it’s not Jesus anymore. And that’s a very apt comparison, since Snyder wants to employ the Christ metaphors as often as possible, even though he took…
You spend more time saying you can defend the movie than defending it. Even if it's characterization a were t so far off, it's a poorly put together film.
No. I'm saying they've never been intended as history. They were always myth to explain our relationships. The more literal understanding of everything is a fairly recent trend.
It’s not weak-minded at all. We have to try every day to know what we should be doing. And I never said or implied you have to be Christian to do these things. All I said is Christians who take their call seriously are always trying to find more ways to help more people.
And no, true, active, and engaging faith is anything but for the weak-minded. True, fruitful, faith requires one to look within oneself and around oneself every day, constantly trying to find how to better one’s service to God and service to God’s creation. That is why the churches I serve are constantly reaching out…
“And i love to debate theology with people, its just that when they start spouting things that are scientifically impossible and i question them about it they get mad and walk away. Because i used logic.”
There is no “book of revelations” in the Bible.
