It’s okay to have morals. It’s okay to share them. But people who think they have all the answers and everyone else is wrong are dangerous, and that’s what you’re doing.

Except that CGI Bridges is introduced in the real world, not in a computer.
Analysts agree the movie cost between 400-420 million to produce and market. Studios keep around 50% of box office intake, meaning BvS won’t make any profit until a minimum of $800 million in global box office sales.
It's not at a profit yet. Studios keep about 50-52% of box office intake. Meaning, if the movie cost about 400-420 to produce, market, and distribute (as analysts agree), then it needs to make around 800-840 million just to break even.
I can't wait for Aquaman to let us know all the fish have left the area so we don't worry about all the destruction.
I assume this will end up getting great reviews based on how good Winter Soldier was, but don't forget that advanced screenings of MoS and BvS had overwhelmingly positive reactions, too.
And this is why I think Sneider is a bad filmmaker. I don’t care that BvS was dark, I cared that it messed up the characters and none of the interactions felt genuinely human. This scene, while dark in its implications, would have been a great exploration of one of the tragic elements of Superman: that no matter how…
Star Wars is way beyond just the fans. Star Wars has mass appeal. It makes perfect sense. The fans are going to watch it anyway. They wanted to show people who wouldn’t go seek it out on their own.
Literally.
I don’t think most people are upset with the approach or tone of the movie, but the execution and final product. After the MoS battle from Bruce’s perspective, I was sold and ready to love what came after it. What should have been a movie about a battle of ideas and the human struggles of each hero accented by fun and…
Their problem is that they think it’s a certain tone that people want, when the reality is we just want the characters we know and love explored in a cohesive film that excites us and makes us care about the heroes.
Though over-seriousness was a problem in BvS, that was by far one of its lesser flaws. They should make sure their stories are cohesive and their characters are relatable (or at least act human) before worrying about a joke quota.
Way to ignore the fact that they removed a pose that didn’t fit with the character it was paired with. They’re not removing the sexiness from characters whose sexiness and sexuality is a clear defining characteristic, they’re just removing a sexy pose from a character who probably wouldn’t be striking sexy poses. Just…
No, it means you’re willing to go with the best idea even if it’s not the one you originally had. It means putting aside ego and wanting to make a better product. As the article has said, they’re not taking away sexiness from all female characters. They’re simply removing things that don’t really fit with the…
It will make it’s money back for sure, and international reception will likely be pretty good, but it’s hard to say for sure how the negative critical reaction will impact general audiences, and it’s hard to say this early how general audiences will feel about it. It could be a very divided movie, with critics and…
You want us to turn off our brains, but for what benefit? BVS offers me nothing if it can't be at least remotely smart. There's a reason every Marvel Studios film is fresh and this is barely halfway there.
Wish he could’ve saved my Grandpa from polio :/
I think I like you. I’m a pastor but love sci-fi, comics, and video games, and it’s rare to find people who truly appreciate good religious allegory in media.
Typing randomly on his keyboard? Is it really that hard to understand when someone is pointing out the hypocrisy of an argument by pretending to support that argument and carrying it to an absurd conclusion? Did you think Stephen Colbert was an actual conservative?
How did you miss the sarcasm when he goes out of his way to claim Obama is wrong for doing what Republican presidents have done in the past? Sarcasm isn’t always easy to read on the internet, but this one was damn obvious. The whole post is pointing out the absurdity of the complaints against Obama for meeting with…
