One of my favorite things is the complete distinction in the scenery when passing from upstate New York into Vermont. The landscape immediately gets greener and the quality of the air changes to something almost cleansing. God do I love Vermont.

The article is good especially in that it it is thorough. The one area I wish it spoke to more is that bikes coming from Target / Walmart/ and box stores in general are very low in quality and will likely result in have to spend a good deal to fix almost right from the start.

Thank you for mentioning this. I actively encourage my students (second graders) to take academic risks: participate in conversations even when they aren’t fully sure of themselves; reading more difficult books; defend their point of view with information that they have learned.
