I saw a post on here saying “Ask the jews if it’s a concentration camp,” implying that they would definitely agree, and all I could think was “Not so fast, my friend.” I have a few jewish acquaintances on facebook who very much do not agree with that comparison.

Oh, so you're deliberately trolling and therefore don't deserve a thoughtful response. Got it.

Your last couple of sentences are dead on. If you can’t compare things to the holocaust, it’s not possible to learn anything from it. And if there’s no lessons to be learned from it, what's the point of memorializing?

I don't see anything showing Abrams on the board. Bernie Sanders is though, and I'd really like to hear his thoughts on this.

> The Holocaust sparked WWII

Nobody actually pays for first class out of pocket. They are either enjoying an elite upgrade or their employer is footing the bill.

the holocaust did not spark WWII. Germany invading other countries sparked WWII.

I’m not going to wish death on you for your bad comment like others have, but I will say this is a one hell of a shitty take.

Seriously. The upcharge from economy to 1st class was almost certainly more than $1500. Of course he got shot down.

$1,500. lol go fuck yourself Cam. Paris to Charlotte. That is a 9 hour 20 min flight.

Typical of Newton to have issues with his coach.

Yes. She didn’t say “The U.S. is operating extermination camps.” She didn’t say “The U.S. is conducting genocide” or “ethnic cleansing.” She didn’t even say “What the U.S. is doing is a precursor to genocide,” which would have been provocative and deliberately controversial, but arguably justifiable. Hers was a

this coming from the same holocaust museum that has Elliot Abrams on its committee board, Abrams is complicit on various genocides and war crimes in southern and latin america. It’s very hard to take the museum’s never again motto seriously.

Yikes. Who wrote that memo and approved it (other than Bloomfield)? Have they ever been to their own museum?

This might actually be the Museum calling out one of their employees for having linked the concentration camps at the U.S.-Mexico border to Nazi concentration camps when trying, in bad faith, to tell Rep. Ocasio-Cortez to stop doing as much. I say this becuase, as AOC has said repeatedly, “concentration camp” as a

Such a strange article. It kept feeling as if it were on the verge of saying something somewhat insightful, and then...it just didn’t say much at all.

well wifed, bro.

When they make these suggestions it is generally for a sock that has lost a mate. They kind of rely on readers to have enough sense not to pour rice into a sock with a hole in it. If you have never had a lost sock, then this is just not for you. Otherwise this makes a very nice heating pad to place on an awkward

That was just my thought. Unless the sock has formed holes or the elastic band is out of commission, why should I stop using it as intended?

So I’m curious, when are y’all retiring “old” socks, and looking for opportunities to repurpose them? Mine would leak rice if I tried the heating pad thing, because I’m not ready to dispose of my socks until they start to develop holes (it’s usually the heels that wear out on me first).
