Standard Bill Kristol stuff. Can we just fire him into the sun, already?

It was the Silicon Valley watchdog/gossip site that got Gawker in trouble with Peter Thiel when they “outed” him (they didn’t actually out him, but they were very critical of him and he didn’t like it!).

Eh, if nothing else, Florida has camp value. Ain’t nothing even good-adjacent coming out of Mississippi.

Like that would even matter to him.

I mean... did it? The Republicans won the presidency and the House and got a Senate split not two years after all that. You can say that it was because Gore was a singularly “uninspiring” candidate (what a familiar refrain), but the Republicans didn’t exactly suffer from this “disastrous impeachment” that I hear

Phasma’s the new Boba Fett: looks fuckin’ badass but doesn’t do a single damn thing of any interest. You can expect all sort of Phasma fic to come out of this latest trilogy.

Oh, it’s out there:

Didn’t Warner Bros have to specifically release a statement around that time confirming that Heath Ledger has finished filming, too, to stop speculation that they were going to have to pull a Brandon-Lee-in-The-Crow? The brazenness of this lie is stunning.

Right? I realize the wheels started to come off a bit at the end there, but it’s amazing how quickly the Lakers devolved into... this... practically the moment Jerry Buss died.

There was that episode of 30 Rock where he showed up as an actor who’d been cast to play Alec Baldwin’s character in a TV movie.

Pretty rich for a guy who married a girl named “Kiyomi.”

“How do you Obstruct a NO crime?”

On top of that, the Big Consequence of the Rs’ “disastrous, failed impeachment” of Clinton is that the Rs assumed all levers of power in the very next election.

Right? I had to read that fuckin’ sentence three times to be sure I had read it correctly.

Yeah, this all ends in two years with Jason Kidd being fired a third of the way through what’s supposed to be his first full season as head coach when he tries to undermine Jeanie.

Jim Buss didn’t hire Kupchak; he was West’s assistant, and succeeded West when he went to Memphis.

If I recall correctly, didn’t he also at one point issue a company wide memo asking for ideas about what to do with his enormous wealth, and then ignored the responses and issued a follow-up reply to the effect of, “Oh, I guess there’s nothing, let’s do space then”?

Actually, he seemed to take great joy in writing this, maybe re-read?

Reminds me of that time Joe Lacob talked about Golden State’s revolutionary strategy of “signing Kevin Durant.”

THANK YOU. The fact that fucking ghouls like Bill Kristol, Max Boot, and David Frum *still* have far-reaching platforms despite their full-throated support of the Iraq War and the Bush-era policies that lead *directly* from Reaganism to where we are now is staggering, and yet? Silence. Can’t actually bring it up.
