Not only that, I hear tell that this is the team that’s going to be the supreme power in the east once LeBron slows down/retires. I feel for Philly fans sometimes, years of mediocre and bad seasons followed by falling for Hinkie’s grift broke their collective brain.

Seriously, I’m 34, and I’ve been seeing some gray hairs (and, inexplicably, some red hairs) and the advent of crow’s feet, etc... but any worries I might have had are out the damn window. 32? Jesus, evil really does pickle you.

I mean, Kaep is a big step up over Landry Jones and that other guy whose name I can’t remember (and I don’t know if the fact that I can’t remember is a good or bad thing...), but having grown up around much of that fan base? Ownership and front office wouldn’t touch Kaep with a 39 and a half foot pole, he doesn’t

Seriously, Jack Ryan is supposed to be the King of Middle Management — that was his rub, and his popularity was due in large part to the dudes reading the books being able to relate on that level. Turning him into just another guy who punches bad guys misses the point entirely.

Unfortunately the box is empty.

It’s an outgrowth of the demonization of the word “liberal,” for one. I’ve felt the pull myself, from time to time, among more conservative friends — the weird desire to say “well, I’m not one of *those* liberals, I’m hip,” because as ridiculous as it is on its face, “conservative is the new punk” has traction. It’s

It reminds me of the Cinefamily scandal where they released a statement that essentially said “All of this is inaccurate and defamatory!! But also those two guys totally resigned...” Pretty much de rigueur for sexual harrassment and assault cases, apparently.

I’d read somewhere that he muffed the voiceover on purpose in the hopes that the studio wouldn’t use it, but then they did anyway. Given Harrison’s tendency to be... prickly... I buy that.

Yeah, of all the teams to land Boogie... Is Anthony Davis a “stay loyal to the franchise who’s wasting me” kind of guy, or is he gone when his contract comes up? That guy is incredible, but I feel like I’ve spent the last two years forgetting he exists.

The Pelicans becoming intoxicated by Warriors perfume and deciding to hire treadless tire Alvin Gentry as coach... it doesn’t baffle me, exactly, teams make that mistake all the time, but did they think they were getting Steve Kerr, too?

Luckily this is a situation no one will have to figure out any time soon.

More like this is WYTS if they’d let Magary do it the way I’m sure he’d prefer to at this point, since the last couple of years have felt like he’s just forcing it out.

holy fuck

Nailed it here. For the vast majority of people who identify as “poly,” it’s a way of seeming high-minded about the fact that they want to continue to fuck around rather than fully commit.

Everytime I think, “You know, maybe I’ll move back home, my parents are getting older, and Western PA is lovely in the fall,” I read something like this and that thought disappears.

Seriously. When I was a kid (...jesus...), we just stood. Hand over heart was for the pledge alone.

Yeah, I had vague memories of seeing the Mac Tonight commercials when I was a kid, and one night a few years ago I had a compulsion to find them online. This Moon Man business is what I ended up finding. I was... confused... to say the least.

The meaning of the anthem changes depending on which dense and tone-deaf lecture is being delivered to protesters.

Harrison didn’t actually say that:
