The category is called ‘Dependability’ and yet they claim the stereo is still where most complaints are still found.

There’s a chevy dealership near my house that has a huge grass lot between the road and the parking lot, and there is a spot to showcase a car in the middle of the grass, and for some reason they only show off a non-chevy car. I never understood why, but maybe its so no one wants to actually go touch it?
Just a short annoying one where they kept holding my keys trying to convince me that paying more for a used car than new somehow made sense. They either charged me 20% apr or added a $5k warranty, but refused to show me the numbers, just a monthly payment. I tried to tell them I am not interested and they kept going…
Luxury requires performance. If you made a plush comfy car loaded with features you just have a spec’d out Avalon, you give it some power and now you have a Lexus
I think your opinion was right about fit an finish, on materials and feel. But what other brands have really missed out on is the responsiveness of your interaction with the car. That touch screen is still miles ahead of any other car out there, and they have improved it over time too. When it comes to remote…
The Camry has good features, but its missing on performance. There was a time when luxury cars were the only ones with a bunch of features that have become very standard now, and the difference between a premium car and luxury is getting smaller and smaller.
Lets all take a moment and remember that in Jersey they cant pump their own gas*.
Luxury is more than just the quality of the dashboard’s material. When it comes to a comparison sheet between two cars it lists specs and features.
God the irony of a slide show of pictures that are actually words and a bunch covered by the arrows to go next/back so you cant actually read them.
Once the infrastructure is there it wont feel much different from a gas station and you can run a car down low and not panic. Although I have been on the PA turnpike and see signs ‘station closed, next one 100+ miles away’, so that kinda does not help much either.
For a replacement car, its about recharge speed, not range. I tell people when I travel its a 30 minute break for every 3 hours of driving, simple as that. Which means about 200 miles of recharge in 30 minutes (which is quite easy to get for most EVs done right).
What Toyota does with the Prius probably makes more of an impact on the environment than what Tesla does with its entire lineup. I don’t have numbers, but there are so many Priuses and have been selling in volume for so long.
The charging port is in the front, which Tesla is that?
That is a great breakdown, I really liked learning about the rolling resistance formula that companies have to submit. Gives you a great highway cruising estimate breakdown.
For me it was the network, and the over-air updates that improved the car where it lacked at launch. Dumb things like text readout and reply by voice, standard in many cars was missing at first, but I knew it would be added eventually. I plan to keep my car for a minimum of 10 years and wanted one that would actually…
Multiple credit checks is normal, that’s why you really only get dinged by the bureau as if it was one, even if you went to multiple places and shopped around for a few days.
I’m probably not welcome to be even physically near one
There might be an opportunity for a mechanical energy storage system maybe? If you don’t know how often this will be used, I wonder if people smarter than me can think of cheap ways to store hundreds to thousands of KWHs of energy in a way that does not discharge slowly and easier to maintain. If its a cool looking…
I think the problem is the relationship between the user and system manager, is also the customer and business. If Tesla were really trying to get ahead of this, they should be taking proactive measures against abusers. But if they did that the headlines would be customers are being stalked by Tesla using a feature…
I too want a better push to pass system. The ERS system I think should like triple in power output and only ever output when you press a button that activates it for a set time. That way you are not holding it down, but you also need to realize you may have way more power coming out of the next few turns.
