Ann Woodward was not a “blueblood,” she was a former showgirl who married into high society. Classism was one reason she was rejected by the Swans. The legend (largely debunked) of her killing her husband was novelized in The Two Mrs. Grenvilles by Dominick Dunne, later adapted as a TV movie starring Ann-Margret and

I loved it. It’s rare to see so many actresses of a certain age getting a chance to go glam and be so catty still. But Tom Hollander swiped the show out from under all those famous actresses. Which is quite a fitting tribute to Truman. His Truman seems so much more accurate than previous portrayals. Looking forward to

“If that’s all you require from your limited series, you will likely be yas-queens-ing on social media over Capote Vs. The Swans.” Maybe stick to the actual content of the show and not snide swipes at your stereotyped view of the audience?

Dear God, I’m not defending Tom Cotton, a terrible racist and idiot

You give too much credits to Tom Cotton. lol

Okay I know this is a side point, but saying Capote created True Crime is giving him waaaaaay too much credit.

Tom Cotton 100% thinks that all Asian people are Chinese. He is completely incapable of asking any of the questions of Chew that someone might reasonably want to.

he bleached close to the roots on that one

Wow, this review is definitely aspiring to John Simon levels of bitchiness, which fits the subject, yet it doesn’t even address Calista Flockhart, who a lot of people are saying is in some kind of comeback form, you could at least spare her a claw or two she wouldn’t want to feel left out

CZ Guest was probably the most benign of the “swans.” She had serious and well respected interests in gardening and horticulture. The other swans were mostly ornamental. I suspect that the actual Mrs. Guest was somewhat mild and reserved but in the previews Sevigny portrays her with an energy, anger and bitchiness

I was not expecting the Chloe Sevigny burn.

Ah, is this a This Is Us thing? I only know him from the shit god-awful Gentleman Broncos, the absolutely best thing ever The Knick, and guilty pleasure I’m Dying up Here.

I think that’s the one lesson a lot of these true crime series have reinforced to the viewing public - many cops will take the path of lease resistance and a prosecutor can make everything you say sound sinister. I actually knew Richard Jewell a little bit, and his attempts to be helpful in eliminating himself as a

As a lawyer, I give that advice all the time. Keep your mouth fucking shut, call a lawyer. It’s also what I tell my kids. Don’t say anything, call me. My kids have such a safe life, which is great, but it makes them very trusting, bless their hearts.

police officers who should’ve done their damn jobs

We are contemporaries and I confess that I’ll have trouble accepting anyone as Belushi because he was my teenage gonzo idol. I acknowledge that this is steeped in nostalgia and rose-colored wayfarers.

Ooo Ooo! I’ve been waiting forever to post this somewhere. My choice for Carlin? Michael Angarano is his full 1970's I’m Dying up Here glory.

George Carlin was the first episode host.

But who is playing the most important cast member of all, cocaine?

I have recently had to visit Fort Lee, NJ, home to a large Korean American community, often. I have used these occasions to eat at many different Korean restaurants and it has been fantastic.
