Pretty cool! Makes me wonder about other cuisines, restaurant-percentage-wise. What percentage of places are Italian-cuisine-based, esp. if pizza places automatically qualify? -- that sort of thing.

I miss the Yucatan Mexican food truck that used to be in my area, it was different than the regular Tex-Mex stuff. Dude ditched it and opened a brick and mortar like 60 miles away...where people actually live, go figure.
This doesn’t seem that surprising to me if fast food and Tex-Mex is being included (which is pretty much just American food).
Let us know your thoughts!
I also love potatoes just in general :)
They might still be worth trying if you think you can work a (doctored with condiments) version into your day. However, if you love the egg bites, you’ll likely prefer to stick to those in the future!
That’s a shame, I was kind of jazzed to try these - I love the egg bites.
of course everyone fails to mention the correlation between the usage of now legal marjuana, and its products, and the decline of alcohol usage. it was known back in the 70s from a president Nixon drug usage commission study that the was an inverse correlation between the increasing usage of cannabis and a decreasing u…
As I’ve gotten older (mid 40s) I’ve switched to wine and liquor. I like the way wine hits and liquor always works (I favor rum). When younger in my 20s and 30s I was a canned beer guy that over time turned to craft beers. I don’t understand these seltzers and “hard” beverages at all. You can make most of them…
Oh my capitalism is failing because people are not getting drunk as much. 😐
I’d like to see how this report coincides with cigarettes sales. Back in the day, you those 2 would pair together like peanut butter and jelly. Now- the only folks I see smoking cigarettes are foreigners and older people. Beer is fine- but these craft beers being so strong- you only need a few to get a buzz, rather…
Because the argument is stupid. That’s how. If it is a serious problem then CFA will be forced to move by a lack of sales. If not then other restaurants will adopt to the higher influx of customers, making more money and providing any missing jobs. The whole thing is a nonsensical argument without serious merit.
Kickbacks to whoever negotiated for NY State are not beyond consideration.
Congratulations on missing the point.
“Open 24 hours? Not! Closed on Sunday!”
The NYS Thruway is a toll road, that is why there is food, gas, and such at the rest areas/service areas. You can get off at another exit to get food if you like, but you’ll end up paying tolls to get on and off each time.
yeah, it is bananas that nobody addressed this ahead of time. depending on how gay you/your circle is, closing on Sunday is either the first or second thing you know about Chick-Fil-A! but god forbid we make sure a company getting rewarded with great locations will actually show up to provide service.
I can recall when many businesses were not allowed to be open on Sunday’s (sic)
Thruway rest stops are overpriced and unhealthy. Their only benefit is convenience; there’s no faster way to stop for food/gas/pooping than one of these. So if chik-fil-a can’t offer the convenience of being open on one of the busiest days of the week, they don’t belong in these state-owned facilities.
Chick-Fil-A just ought to go some where else. And if they want a “Chicken” restaurant, there are plenty of others I’m sure would take the spot.
