That is one of the confusing things to me... why are old men so obsessed with breakfast (diner ones especially). Not brunch, just breakfast.

I get free breakfast (and lunch) at work so I for sure eat breakfast (more so than lunch). Weekends I do buy some FF egg sandwiches after the Gym, so my 50 year old ass totally does this! :)

GenX, always on the move. If it isn’t too much strain and doesn’t hurt. We are getting older. Of course we couldn’t be identified by an actual name in the article because who remembers GenX?

Yeah, I always suspected it was the olds, men specifically.

As someone who is not quite 45 yet and has shown up 30 minutes late to his job regularly for the past 20 years, I resemble that remark!

Come on. As an older woman who simply can’t buy lunch because it’s so damnably expensive (fast food lunch usually costs more than the ingredients and prep for both breakfast and dinner, combined), you really think I’m going to pay for fast food breakfast I can make BETTER? No.

Also maybe the demographic least likely to catch flak for showing up 15 minutes late with a breakfast sandwich...

The vodka they use might well double as lighter fluid.

This right here.

This reminds me of the bacardi & coke premixed drinks I got all the time in college. The can looked very much like a generic energy drink, with COLA in big text and bacardi in very small text, so I could drink it without fuss from the managers while working those 12-hour+ kitchen shifts. Those were pretty solid for a

I honestly believe that the reason the White Russian was chosen as the cocktail of choice for “The Dude” was that it’s not exactly a refined choice.

All this talk of canned White Russians reminds me of how much I miss Java Monster Russian. 😢

I never thought of tofu as a meat replacement until I moved to a majority white community — I grew up in Asian communities in the same state, not 50 miles away. Asian dishes are all about the sauces/soups, so things that can soak up all that goodness — rice, noodles, tofu — are key. I still have a goal of learning how

I once got a appreciative nod from the chinese family that runs my local chinese restaurant for loving their spicy vegetable fried tofu plate and when I asked why, they said that typical americans usually give it a pass because it doesn’t contain meat and they consider it one of their best dishes.
