Does said inclusion actually factor towards the rating games get? I feel like anything with loot boxes and micro transaction should automatically get an M for mature. And ratings need to be able to be changed to prevent companies from patching them in later to avoid a higher rating.

“Parents dont know know what loot boxes are, and we dont want to educate them, so here is another meaningless label”

Best: IX. It’s the culmination of the PS1 era where Squaresoft was at its most creative high. It’s fun and whimsical in a way that Final Fantasy games apparently are no longer allowed to be since they’re now determined to solely be the fever-dream of a 13 year old edgelord.

Worst: All of modern day Final Fantasy. It’s

I am here for this

“writing a simple story but regurgitated enough times”

I haven’t played Death Stranding yet, so I can’t address your example. I will readily admit dialogue in these games repeat certain terms ad nauseum. “Nanomachines” in MGS4, the bacteria in MGS5. But long scenes of dialogue don’t really change what’s going on in the

What in the name of Mario’s Smoking Ass’ would have worked equally well.

Gotcha, thanks. I’ve reached the final bosses of both DLCs, but they’re kicking my ass and I’m about burnt out on the game.

Thanks for pointing that out. You can always count on Clueless Hero to be either pointless unfunny nonsense (if you miss the transition, like I did initially) or a callback to an episode of Pokemon that’s over 20 years old.

Life in Aggro...ah the naivety of people who were (presumably) never sex workers...

If you hadn’t said it, I certainly would have. While “Cardcaptors” got me into animé, Cardcaptor Sakura kept me there. (As my username and Clow avatar should make quite clear.)

They had recently posted about a new vaccine trial that Pitt is trying to get pushed through the FDA that worked in mice, but needs to be tested on humans. It is administered via a small, square patch similar to a piece of velcro that is made up of micro needles that dissolve in the skin, which eliminates the need for

It’s just a nice relaxing game that happened to come out at a stressful time when a lot of people didn’t have much to do. It’s a vacation for everyone who can’t go on a vacation, which happens to be basically everybody right now. The multiplayer works just enough to let people get together virtually.

I would say they’re a result of capitalism, but I certainly could be wrong. Certain brands of capitalists don’t seem to agree that they’re part of capitalism.

Fun fact: even Adam Smith didn’t believe in greed above all else. A big caveat that lots of assholes gloss over is that Smith’s theories had a major asterisk of “under conditions of justice”, ie “working for your own good without fucking each other over.” In fact, he even predicted the rise of monopolies and

Oh for sure, I don’t think we should completely remove capitalism. Of course unions are the solution. Otherwise, these lovely companies wouldn’t fight tooth and nail to keep their employees from unionizing.

Get rid of it? No. Leave things as they are? Definitely not.

Edit: capitalism as it is and how these people would

Not a day goes by when I’m not entirely relieved I gave up on trying to be a game developer.

I think many would agree that the lack of a formal union for game devs is the problem.  If you’re advocating for some economic model that completely removes capitalism, I’m not sure if that would be a better solution.

Based on personal experience, I’m going to wager they are very close to going public. Because this looks a lot like the “Fuck everyone who got us here, it’s time for the owners to get PAID” phase that typically precedes it.

I don’t get the point in cheating in games like this... I mean, what’s the point, you don’t actually get anything, and winning with cheats is only cheating yourself out of the joy of pushing through the struggle.
