I can’t afford paying $69.99 upfront for a videogame, so if this price point sticks, I guess I’ll be waiting for the eventual discounts. I feel like this price point is going to be mistake in the long term somewhat.

It’s hard to handwave away something Gamefreak isn’t fully utilising. It’s one thing if we were talking about BoTW or Xenoblade 2, but those games already take advantage and makes some clever workarounds. Gamefreak, on the other hand is trying to catch up.

Maybe people expected more than passable, but passable works just fine for me given I never thought this company would ever try something new, and they’re by no means bad
