@Tevor_the_Third: It was that Blu-Ray drive that spoiled everything for Sony. If it had shipped exactly as it was but with a DVD drive (and a lower price) odds are it'd probably be number one right now, not the Wii.

@orijimi: You might need to squeeze in a Wii logo for that.
@kerihobo: You haven't heard of The Price is Right? Wow.
I loved the original game (not so much the sequel), but Activision's shitty attitude toward players and its own employees ensures that I won't be buying this. Shape up, and ship out Kotick, and I'll reconsider.
@kerihobo: You ever watch Plinko on The Price is Right? It's that.
@The Anti-Fanboy: And the writer of the article claims that there are perfectly legal, yet perfectly tasteless, magazines featuring young girls in sexual poses. Real girls, not those saucer-eyed plastic dolls in the Japanese cartoons.
@DracoCross: This art could be a distasteful but otherwise benign way for people with these urges to deal with them. There's no way to know for sure if the drawings harm or help society, but comparing the sex crime rate of Japan to that of other countries may provide some insight.
@Tyrannical: By banning drawings while ignoring the real stuff! GOOD JERB!
"But certainly politicians can tell the difference between what is real and what isn't?"
@develin: That's not totally true. If you give the Jamaican guy enough money he'll open up paths to the later stages. That cheats you out of opportunities to stock up on weapons while the game is still relatively easy, though.
@Murderdolls: It takes a flawed shell of a game (Broderbund's Spellunker) and fixes nearly every problem with it, making it incredibly fun and addictive. The wimpy lead character can now take several hits before dying, and the gameplay is surprisingly open-ended for an arcade-style platformer, letting you color…
@DeadDuck: Hugo Chavez: Dictator
@Nick2: The cost of parts for a DS cartridge could actually be a lot less. I don't know what the breakdown is, but remember that an ordinary DS cartridge costs $30, with a large percentage of the sale going to pay the developers. I'm sure raw materials are only a small part of the final retail value.
Seems that the added bulk will make it impossible to insert the cartridge into an older DS model. That increase in size will also let the developers pack in higher-capacity ROMs. Put two and two together and... this could be the first official concept drawing of the DS2!
The yearly cycle isn't practical for video games, especially with the amount of effort it takes to make them. You're better off creating a number of different franchises, each by different teams, and staggering the releases so players will have something different to look forward to every year. That way the teams…
@Slinkytech: I'd pay ten bucks to give him a Cleveland Steamer. Not for sexual satisfaction, mind, but good old fashioned regular satisfaction.
I wouldn't say he's a crook, no! I WOULD say that his law forcing bloggers to publicly reveal their names was remarkably self-serving and gives him the appearance of a selfish, petty tyrant. I would also say that his recent actions have proven all the critics right about how the law could be exploited to suppress…
@Stradigos: Heh, so the victim is at fault. Typical rationale from our "might makes right" society.
