@sephto: The guys wearing those shirts probably ARE!

@VincentGrey: I don't know... right now Activision is giving even Jay Lame-o a run for his money.

Hopefully they'll know better than to start an independent game studio and sell it to a large corporation with the intention of remaining there. Does this ever work? Not just in the video game industry but the entertainment industry as a whole. The moment the ink dries on the contract, you're either booted out the

@resvrgam: Remember when the industry was creatively driven? The larger it gets, the less that remains the case. Maybe a fork in the souffle is just what this industry needs.

You think YOU'RE disappointed? Just wait until fans of Call of Duty get a hold of the next game in the series!

@oddfish: Shut yo mouth, foo! The Saturn was big in Japan; more popular than the Nintendo 64 for most of its short life. It probably would have remained that way if bungling Bernie Stolar hadn't pulled the plug on the system in all territories.

Arrogant.

@berserk_ftw: You're a gamer. That's not saying much.

@Zeidust: No, I'm telling you that Pac-Man Vs., the game you described as a GameCube exclusive, is available on the Nintendo DS. It's a bonus feature in Namco Museum.

@GR1NG0_SU4V3: You're just getting older and seeing the world for what it really is. The video game industry tends to get really creative when profits are down, and really corporate (ie conniving) when profits are up. Atari acted just like Activision is acting now back in the early 1980s... corporate, buttoned down

Kotick needs a Big Stack Attack. And by that, I mean a disgruntled former employee of Infinity Ward should fly a Cherokee into his bedroom.

@oldtaku: I don't want CrapDivision to be happy. I want them to do exactly what they did to Guitar Hero and suffer badly for it.

Pretty clear what's going on here. Activision hopes to fire most of the staff, close the facility, and fold everyone remaining into the company where they can be deprived of their autonomy. CrapDivision wants a "no-fun" game design environment, and demoralizing the staff and stripping them of their free will is a

@psypoto: Now you're thinkin'!

@Realmjumper: You sound like one of those Jay Leno apologists. "Don't blame the guy with the bloody knife in his hand... it's just business!"

@Chupakun: Don't. You don't have to stop playing their games, but you don't have to buy them, either. Just rent.

@Slinker: Yes, it's thankless work. That's been my experience, anyway.

@DeathByDrum: Mongoloids as in the bloodthirsty Mongol hordes of Ghengis Khan or ret-uh, Palin-Americans?

Another boffo decision from CrapDivision. The makers of this game tried to play by the rules, came to an agreement with the trademark holders, and still got fucked in the ass the moment Kotick stepped through the door.
