@Gyaruson: It's not EA that's at fault here, it's Viacom.

Sumner's mistake, of course, was that he gave them the money FIRST. Maybe you should have shelled out that bonus AFTER the company earned it. Or maybe you should just stop pretending you have any idea how the video game industry works. Midway and Viacom New Media clearly prove that you don't.
@Prairie Moon: Seriously, how many of these damn social networking sites does one guy need? I've got Twitter, LiveJournal, YouTube, and Facebook accounts, and I only use Twitter regularly because there's practically no effort involved. I don't need another one of these trendy sites I'm not going to use. Knock it…
@LeepNasty: I miss the free market regulations that kept capitalism from cannibalizing itself (and everyone else) for the sake of short-term profit.
@Vizion28: It's a really good game. I wasn't impressed at first, but it grows on you once you clear a few worlds. I just wish it had been as imaginative as Super Mario Galaxy... while playing it, I got a strong "been there, done that" vibe, since a lot of the content was very similar to what I'd already seen in…
@EolirinX: Thank goodness for careful wording! "It'll beat one or the other... not both."
@Big McLargehuge: Yep, sounds about right. Activision is the new Evil-A. With Mass Effect 2 being greatly improved over the original and fewer subsidiaries being given the axe, Electronic Arts is borderline respectable at this point.
I can't say I'm surprised by this. Activision's purchase of Red Octane was for the Guitar Hero license alone. Now that they have it, they're free to kick everything they DON'T need (namely, Red Octane) to the curb. Moral of the story? Never sell your small start-up company to a large corporation, because they'll…
@Kitsune Sniper: Bobby Kotick, and because they're getting more money by cutting their workforce.
@Illuminerdi: Could I interest you in a nice Darksiders?
@cjlopez: Man, if you don't have enough reasons to buy an Xbox 360 NOW, I just don't know what to tell you.
@Holverson: I'd take a star!
@pqrklife: They're good, definitely, but Molyneaux needs to tone down his pie-in-the-sky promises. He's become the balding game developer who cried wolf.
@bowen13: Yeah, that's why this announcement is so deliciously ironic. It's like all the complaints about HIM have subconsciously seeped into his work.
Hmm, making tall promises that you can't possibly keep. So Peter Molyneaux is making an autobiographical game then?
Nooooo...! What's the deal with game developers rushing to kill HUDs, anyway? I LIKE the numbers and bars! They give me an exact, down-to-the-digit measurement of my health! All the whiners who say that video games should be "more realistic" can shove it... thirty years of technology have made them more than…
Credited or blamed...?
@Downskated: Yeah, it's mostly a first-party system. If Activision thinks it's going to strike gold by producing Wii games at the expense of its Xbox 360 and PS3 output, it's going to be disappointed.
