This is true, I tried to buy a used Taco a few years back, and actually ended up getting a new one for the same money as a used one. Insane. Sold it a year later for literally what I paid for it.

That’s it. I’m selling the Suburban and buying an old Land Cruiser. I’ve seen too much LC stuff lately and the want is strong.
I guess I’m waiting until I can get a Club without a touchscreen. I really really don’t like the touchscreen.
Well, rumor has it there was a good long chemical burn going on after the initial two blasts, so possibly much of the damage could have been from that as well.
Agreed. The shockwave in the videos was terrifying.
I wish you were kidding.
“The exploding warehouse hit the port with energy equivalent of three tonnes of TNT”
Actually, it seems that the initial 3T blast lit off a second 21T blast... I imagine blast 2 is what did the cars in.
I attended BRP’s launch for these back in 2007 in San Diego, had my fill and haven’t looked back since. I have to say that after reading your review... things haven’t changed much.
I think they can be fun, but they lack the magic or, I dunno, that “feel” when linking turns together on two wheels. That moment when…
I guess I’m speaking to the 80 series in particular because I know that’s what HammerheadFistpunch owns, and I was very close to owning myself for a while. Towing isn’t really in the cards for that truck which is why I didn’t get one. The straight 6 is an amazing engine, it just doesn’t have enough power to tow much…
Seriously, if you have a domestic 3/4 ton (even most 1/2 tons) and you can’t pull your boat out in 2wd with traction control on, or at least good throttle control, your boat should probably have a slip because it’s gotta be HUGE... or the nut behind the wheel is loose.
Most normal boats? I think I’ve put my truck in…
And they don’t tow worth a damn either.
I love the Roadcrafter, and for what it is, it’s not just money well spent so much as it’s an amazing bargain.
You get it. I really like the SS, but 47 large can buy a whole lot of stick shift fun AND something weird and awesome on the used market.
Seriously, the 8100 in that application is so understressed it’ll run poorly longer than most cars will run at all... and still tow 12k.
I have a 2002 Suburban with this engine/transmission combo. It really only needs 4 speeds for what it does...
My brother and I literally just sat in front of my computer and laughed our way through the first 3 Space Quest games over beers a couple of months ago. We are planning on Quest for Glory next time we get together...
Lol. By that definition pretty much no one tows a boat.
Well, I think before we crack open this can, we need to differentiate between an SUV and a CUV...
... I can’t wrap my head around the Wee-Strom being a 10k+ bike now...
I think that much of this argument boils down to the use of short term vs. long term debt, or weighing interest vs. returns... However, that’s a different discussion for a different place I think.
This being said, I think you are right and most would benefit from a substantially reduced (eliminated) debtload.
