I don’t think that’s an unpopular opinion necessarily. People have just come to expect that anything on mobile is gated behind timers and microtransactions to the detriment of the game product so that’s why there’s disappointment along with not being able to play the game on other platforms.

I don’t think you’re talking about the right game. Lost Odyssey was released on Xbox 360, and is fully backwards compatible on the Xbox One/One X and Series X/S.

At least Lost Odyssey can be played on pretty much every Xbox console released after the 360. Half of my PS3 games are still only playable on that one console.

Yeah, not just backwards compatible but actually still available for sale. I just checked and so is Blue Dragon. Unfortunately the only Mistwalker game that I’ve played through (and really loved), The Last Story, is actually trapped on a dead console with no apparent plans to port it, which is a huge bummer.

I’m also bummed that Sakaguchi hasn’t worked on more high profile games, but to be fair: he left Square because of his hugely ambitious miscalculation of making a blockbuster movie; Lost Odyssey was critically popular but I’m not sure it sold well, especially in Japan where Xbox is a nonentity; meanwhile, his other

A new Sakaguchi game :D
... it’s on mobile :(

I hate being negative on the Internet, but... yeah, I’m kinda with you on this one. It definitely has that Avengers problem, where the only characters that look good are the ones that either don’t look like their movie counterparts at all (Ant-Man) or just aren’t in the movies (Ms. Marvel).

Thanks, I hate it.

Tell that to Apple, Adidas, Assassin’s Creed, McDonald’s, Domino’s, Starbucks...

iPhones are quite popular in Japan, so there doesn’t seem to be any real “western disdain.”

Hentai is its own genre of porn, anime styled porn.

People are people... There's trolls, morons and smart people everywhere on the planet.  I've been to Japan multiple times on business and while they will even admit they are somewhat xenophobic they also aren't mean and will be quite friendly.  I've had a couple friends I made there stay with me when they came to

I know it was touched on a little, but it sounds almost like there is a stigma with owning one of these in Japan. I am assuming it has to do with game tastes and a general disdain for western games over there, but none of the comments touched on that. Just the fact that it was an Xbox system. The last comment

“To be honest, those who have an Xbox are hentai gamers.”

he literally says there was no bug. only one game—civ v—includes a reference to the nuke-heavy behavior, and that was in 2010, two years before the bug theory was even a thing.

I’ve been playing this since late last week and I’m still not sure how I feel about it. Definitely conflicted.

Huh. The game sure feels like a comic book game while I am playing it.

The MCU is just a visual interpretation of the comic book characters. The game’s depiction of Tony Stark is as much of a “knock off” of the original character as Robert Downey Jr’s face would be. Even more importantly, getting upset that the game doesn’t use the movie likenesses is extremely foolish, because there’s

I think he’s upset that the story is not canon to the comics?

I’m not sure what you mean. How is it not a comic book game?
