Here’s me talking out of my ass, since I haven’t seen this movie - although I did see the first one so I think I have an idea of the type of humor they’re going for. I don’t think Deadpool is embracing the joke, he’s just acknowledging that the sentiment exists. It’s like how, I hear, there’s a picture of Karl Marx at

He still shows up on The Daily Show occasionally.

A lot of people were bored by Treme but I wanted it to just keep going and going.

Back then, the general consensus was that Twitter was infuriatingly stupid because it was supposedly a bunch of self-absorbed hipsters posting about what they ate for lunch. I remember it was one of the things that Lewis Black was raging about. Then a few years later he got a Twitter account.

Today I learned that the “P45" is the British equivalent of the American “pink slip”.

Beep. Beep. Beep.

I just watched the new Murder On The Orient Express this morning. Somehow I’d never seen another Poirot before, even though he seems to be the most portrayed fictional character around; Wikipedia lists 25 major actors who have played him, and they don’t have Malkovich yet. So much Poirot! Why do we need so much Poirot?

The Democratic Party’s supporters blindly following them is one of the reasons they lost. If there had been more people willing to withhold their votes, to say “either you represent me or I won’t vote for you,” Hillary Clinton would have been forced to run a better campaign. Then more non-voters, and even people like

Twitter should just get rid of its block function entirely. There’s no benefit to blocking over muting, unless you want someone to know they upset you.

It’s a good thing we played by the rules, otherwise Trump might have won!

Yeah, those are the details I was referring to. I don’t think Nader was more qualified than Stein, although I actually wanted him to be president and I only chose Stein because she was the one I disliked the least.

You have to be naive to vote for someone who doesn’t have a chance of winning? I assume that also applies to anyone who voted for John McCain for president. Okay, maybe they’re naive for different reasons.

The true purpose of a third party candidacy is to influence the candidates who have a shot at winning, like how Bernie Sanders did with Hillary Clinton and Cynthia Nixon is doing with Andrew Cuomo (though I guess that’s still the semi-finals).

The demonization of Jill Stein is basically a carbon copy of the demonization of Ralph Nader with a few details changed. What makes me sad is that liberals will unquestioningly believe whatever the Democratic Party makes up about their third-party opponents (apparently you can’t be in the same room as Putin unless

Fortunately, the major parties are protecting us from actual democracy by making sure the third parties are only ever able to play badminton.

Right, the same thing will happen again: Roseanne will be so utterly impossible to work with that her show will be quickly cancelled after another 8 seasons.

Apparently the fictional Trump spelled “Illinois” wrong. I’m going to guess he went with “Illanoi”.

Jade gave two rides.

Julius Caesar focuses not only on the fall of the Roman Empire
