That phrase, “[their] award to lose”, has always confused me. It sounds like the person deserves the award but isn’t going to get it, but I guess it actually means that they’re probably going to win but they might not, or something along those lines. How strange.

It took me a while to figure out who wrote the opening. Paying attention is hard work!

“Is this an episode of U Talkin’ U2 2 Me?” was the funniest moment 4 me.

I’m celebrating Twin Peaks Day by watching two episodes of The Return. I actually didn’t know it was Twin Peaks Day; I just have to hurry up and finish this before it’s due back at the library.

Don’t stand

Trevor Noah’s life story is so amazing that I forgive him for his comedy being kind of tame. (He’s great at accents though.)

Well, there’s at least a new episode of Waco. I want to mention that show as much as I can because it’s not covered here but I think it’s one of the best things I’ve seen this year.

Her face is at an odd angle but I think that’s Amy Sedaris.

The first podcast’s title was bad and this one’s is atrocious. In other words, they’re both pretty good.

Unfortunately, we might not reach that point until we’re at something like “The next time a Russian posts anything about American politics on Facebook, we must retaliate by nuking

Oh. I should have figured that out.

At first I thought you were talking about Thrilling Adventure Hour and wondered why people were judging the veracity of ironic supernatural stories.

There’s a lot of depressing crime, but there are also plenty of happy moments.

Also, his ho’s face.

This show seems to be intentionally failing the Bechdel Test. Even when the female characters get a moment together, they still just talk about men.

This is some pretty good accidental comedy.

I just watched the penultimate episode of Babylon Berlin and it kind of really messed me up. It’s an amazingly good show but I’m a little angry at it. Did Greta forget about telephones or something? Also, Lotte... agh! That’s not how it was supposed to happen!

Moon River for his huckleberry friends and Huckleberry River for his moon friends.

The opening scene felt a bit off, with two fake Italians talking to each other in accented English. It would have worked better if they had been speaking subtitled Italian, but for some reason the show didn’t want Italian actors. Also, the dialogue was pure exposition. Good episode overall though.

I just watched Blade Runner 2049. The sex scene there wasn’t necessarily bad, but... well, I’m not sure how to feel about it.
