Tom Brady has a hurt throwing hand, Jags defense is bananas, and jags have a strong run game the pats can’t defend, there’s a chance

I am glad they got the inevitable Dax Shepherd cameo on this show out of the way and it was relatively painless. Him and Kristen Bell casually flirting was pretty cute, I guess.

I suppose if they did start filming $50 million blockbusters, they could make a Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Cinematic Universe

You know what would be a real crime in America? If the AV Club didn’t bring back community grades.

I had my money on an actual seal! *throws losing ticket on floor, punches through straw boater for good measure*

Welp, it was nice having “Master of None” for two seasons.

It’s just so damn mean-spirited. Watching it actively makes me feel bad. Even stuff like It’s Always Sunny feels less cruel than Family Guy.

Was already eye-rolling your aggressively angry comment about a TV show and then you used the term “betas” and it all made sense. Carry on being an embarrassing trash person.

He’s said that all the characters are stand-ins for himself, just different aspects. Jeff is his ego. Britta his passion for social issues - without the commitment. Abed his obsession with media and story structure, etc.

Yes, there’s a distinct difference between what appears to be a genuine apology (time will tell) and cookie-seeking behavior. Alvin Tostig’s post seems to be calling Harmon’s apology cookie-seeking, but instead is an excellent example of cookie-seeking behavior itself.

And to the degree that Britta was lampooned, it was often self-criticism on Harmon’s part about his vague intentions and bold stances on issues he actually only has superficial understanding of.

Your connection of Dan’s personal issues with women and Britta is bizarre to me. I hated her character at first and then she became so much more likable, hilarious, vulnerable, and interesting. So this is all your perception of the character, which you are then infusing with your perception of Dan’s toxic attitudes

That’s how sitcoms work. Character traits get magnified as the writers reach for more and more jokes at the characters’ expense. I never felt that Britta was portrayed in a mean-spirited way at all. She got progressively more clueless, but so did Troy.

YAY SCRAWLER!

Interesting, because one of the (many) reasons I’ve long loved Harmon’s writing is that I feel he’s got a much better grasp on writing women than many, many other male showrunners. I mean, I’m not surprised that he’s a drunken emotionally abusive asshole to people on his staff. Because tha’ts obvious and has been for

Harmon is and has been notoriously miserable to work with. Since like, I don’t know... Computerman days?

Speaking personally, it’s disappointing that someone whose work I’ve enjoyed as much as Harmon’s is revealed to be another fussy little dictator reveling in his urges and attempting to override someone else’ autonomy for the sake of actualizing his fantasy. I’m glad it didn’t go far enough for lasting damage to be
