I think you’re all sailing past the point of this joke.
I think you’re all sailing past the point of this joke.
I saw that sketch as just another Roy Moore vs. Al Franken bit.
Wasn’t that just something that happened once, and was revealed to be a publicity stunt for his movie about a teacher falling in love with a student? Maybe I’m wrong, but I haven’t heard of anything like that about him since.
Kenan just gets exactly how to do SNL at this point, so that no matter how bad a sketch is he still looks good. There are only a few other cast members in the show’s history I can think of who I’d say the same for.
I would only throw Step Brothers above it (and Hot Fuzz and Superbad depending on how you define “last ten years”.)
Oh and the Roy Orbison parody and all the Johnny Cash ones are all great too.
I love the Walk Hard songs. They got Van Dyke Parks to produce the Brian Wilson parody and it’s honestly one of my favorite Van Dyke Parks songs.
I always think of that CBB where there was a guy who won a spot on the show (not the British guy) and Harris was on there doing foam corner and the guy was just tearing him down after every joke, and Harris started to sound legitimately annoyed until Scott finally had to explain “hey the reason I make fun of Harris so…
Both Tim Meadows and Walk Hard are very underrated and hilarious. “This is the logical next step for you!”
I think something good to do would be having the guest there for more than just the special episode thing at the end. Then we could get someone who isn’t exactly as old as Lapkus/Gabrus, and could maybe get them out of that head space.
I really want to like Raised By TV (I find both Gabrus and Lapkus two of the funniest people in the world) but it’s way too much “do you remember this?!” “oh my god yes, do you remember this?!” It just feels too member berry for me. Hopefully they add more segments or some structure to it.
Well I’d say Americans deserve to be ripped on for our fatness as much as posh English people deserve to ripped on for the sticks permanently up their butt.
I really liked their new album but both their sets were ridiculous.
I strongly doubt Kate will stick around for 10 seasons. She’s great, but she’s too much of a breakout. Next season will probably be her last, sadly.
Yea she’s looking to get her 3rd Oscar nom by like 23, so that’s no small feat.
The whole thing felt like someone gave Michael Scott a spot on SNL.
Nope. After tonight, no one tops Trump.
I mean, I’d say most people would find releasing a movie about a cult leader on the 50th anniversary of the murders he inspired (particularly one made by a director like Tarantino) at least a little distasteful.
He’s far more sufferable than Morrissey.
