I wish. NPR person kept saying "seh-kyu-leh".

Last week (or this weekend I don't remember) NPR did a quick story about him and the reporter kept saying his name incredibly wrong. She clearly had never seen any of the interviews with him or statements from him she was referencing. Just really weird given NPR usually over-pronounces words in an attempt to get them

Eh, all genders have hack comedians who love talking about their genitals purely because they think it gives them "shock" value or something. It's like the comedians who have a catch phrase - it's a cue for drunk audiences to respond. There're plenty of ways to make genital jokes funny, but many comedians don't have

I have it on good authority from the deep state (my imagination) that he actually has multiple body doubles who all had plastic surgery to look like him.

I tried watching a few eps of that 20th Cent History show and it just became unwatchable. It highlighted a few interesting nuggets of "forgotten" history but tried so hard to remove any of the ugliness of people he was clearly trying to show in a good light vs portraying them fairly.

Ya, how dare this article note some of Putin's failings!(?)

Do you mean the way characters died or the way the scene was executed? I thought they conveyed the chaos pretty well and was really impressed.

I don't know if it's recency/I wasn't prepared because no books, but I'm not sure whether the Red Wedding or the Hodor/Summer/Children deaths were harder for me when watching the show.

it's the fuckin Stargate ya nerds

Roseanne all-capsing that tweet about Trump and midwestern family is made all the more beautify by that Hawaii location tag. mmmmmwah.

Pretty sad. He had such a promising career from his 30s-60s.

Man that Colbert interview with Stone was brutal. Is his docu series sympathetic and pro-Putin?

I agree about the small-ensemble feel. The movie's basically a spy thriller with super heroes, which is why the "super spy" Black Widow would make sense in the title. My thoughts are purely a way MCU could have had a big budget female lead. I still really liked WS, regardless.

Ya Vince Vaughn's work was really disappointing. They didn't explain why he was motivated or anything about his character's tics (ticks?) until it was too late. Like, I *think* his character was supposed to be robotic based on his background, but it just was written so poorly it just came off as a bland, poorly acted

Ya it's all bullshit. I don't think any of it matters, and people on all sides will dig in about rhetoric if it gains them capital depending on the situation. So much of the rhetoric on both sides (though mostly conservative side) can be twisted as promoting violence if we want to see it that way.

I held out hope for so long during Season 2. There were so many interesting aspects and potentially interesting characters that…just sorta fell apart or never came to fruition.

Wasn't it the district, not her picture, that was in crosshairs along with numerous other "at play" districts? Obviously not a huge distinction if you think such things matter.

BUT IT HAD 3D! AND MECHS(?)!! AND SIGOURNEY WEAVER!!!

Oh, I'm not saying the films were and won't be successful. I just think they're a bore. I'm a sucker for scifi so I'll probably watch the Avatar sequels in theater if they're even half way decent. But as with the first film I'm doubtful I'll ever have a desire to rewatch them after their theater runs. (unlike films
